The 2021 Germany Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that took place in Germany between 5 and 8 August 2021. [1] [2] It was originally due to be played in May 2021, [3] but was postponed due to a new lockdown in Germany caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. [4]
The participating teams were the hosts Germany, along with France and Norway. [5] Spain were also scheduled to participate in a quadrangular event, but withdrew on 28 July due to COVID-19-related travel restrictions. [6] The matches were all played at the Bayer Uerdingen Cricket Ground, part of the German Cricket Federation's National Performance Centre in the city of Krefeld. [7] These were the first official T20I matches to be played in Germany since the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full T20I status to all competitive matches between its members from 1 January 2019. Germany won the tournament, beating Norway by six wickets in the final. [10] [11]

The 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of qualification process for the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup. Twelve regional qualifiers were held by the International Cricket Council (ICC), with 62 teams competing during 2018 in five regions – Africa, Americas (2), Asia (2), East Asia Pacific (2) and Europe (3). The top 25 sides from these progressed to five Regional Finals in 2019, with seven teams then going on to compete in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier, along with the six lowest ranked sides from the ICC T20I Championship.

The 2019 France Women's T20I Quadrangular Series was a women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament held in Nantes, France, from 31 July to 3 August. The participants were the women's national sides of France, Austria, Jersey and Norway. Matches in the series were recognised as official WT20I games as per ICC's announcement that full WT20I status would apply to all the matches played between women's teams of associate members after 1 July 2018. Jersey Women were the only side of the four to have previously played a WT20I. The matches were played at the Cricket Ground, Parc du Grand Blottereau in Nantes. France won the tournament after winning 5 of their 6 matches.

These were the first official T20I matches to be played in Portugal since the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full T20I status to all competitive matches between its members from 1 January 2019.
The 2021–22 Uganda Tri-Nation Series, also known as the Pearl of Africa T20I Series, was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Uganda in September 2021. The participating teams were the hosts Uganda, along with Kenya and Nigeria. The tournament was originally planned to consist of 13 T20I matches, with the sides facing each other four times in a round-robin stage, followed by a final between the top two teams. The round-robin was later reduced by three matches with each team facing each other three times. The tournament provided preparation for all sides ahead of T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier events took place in October and November 2021.

Jersey won the series, after they went unbeaten in all four of their matches. France finished in second place, edging out Austria on net run rate, with Spain finishing fourth.

Dylan Alexander Blignaut is a South African cricketer who plays for the Germany national team. Blignaut represented Eastern Province in under-17s before spending two summers in 2014 and 2015 playing club cricket in England for Vauxhall Mallards in the East Anglian Premier Cricket League and then for Shobrooke Park in the Devon Cricket League. After a successful season with Brighton Districts in Melbourne, Australia, Blignaut was signed by North County Cricket Club to play in the Leinster Senior League in Ireland.

The 2022 Desert Cup T20I Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that took place in Oman in November 2022. The participating teams were the hosts Oman along with Bahrain, Canada and Saudi Arabia. The tournament was played as a double round-robin, with the top two sides advancing to the final. The T20I tournament was followed by a three-match 50-over series between Oman and Canada, as the Canadians prepared for the final event of the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League in Malaysia in December 2022.
