It was his second French Open title and 19th major title overall. With this victory, he became the first man to achieve the double career Grand Slam in the Open Era, and the first player in the Open Era to win a major after coming back from two sets to love down in two matches during the same major. Tsitsipas became the first Greek player to reach a major final. It also marked the second consecutive year a man trailed by two sets in a major final yet rallied to win, following Dominic Thiem's victory at the 2020 US Open.
Alexander Zverev defeated Matteo Berrettini in the final, 6–7(8–10), 6–4, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Madrid Open. It was Zverev's fourth Masters 1000 title, his first since Madrid 2018, and his 15th career ATP Tour singles title overall. Berrettini was in contention to become the second Italian to be a Masters 1000 champion.

It was his second Australian Open title and 21st major singles title overall, surpassing the all-time record he had jointly held with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Nadal became the fourth man, after Roy Emerson, Rod Laver, and Djokovic, to achieve the double career Grand Slam, and the second in the Open Era. This marked the third consecutive year a man trailed by two sets in a major final yet rallied to win, following Djokovic's two-set comeback at the 2021 French Open and Dominic Thiem's at the 2020 US Open.
Taylor Fritz defeated Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–5) to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters. It was his first Masters 1000 title and second career title overall. Fritz became the first American to win the title since Andre Agassi in 2001, and ended Nadal's 20-match winning streak, dating back to the 2022 Melbourne Open.
Andrey Rublev defeated Jiří Veselý in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Dubai Tennis Championships. It was Rublev's tenth career singles title. Veselý entered the tournament ranked as the world No. 123, and was the lowest-ranked finalist in the tournament's history.

It was his first Masters 1000 title, and he became the first Spaniard to win the title. The victory also made Alcaraz, at 18 years and 333 days old, the youngest men's singles titlist in Miami Open history, and the youngest Masters 1000 champion since Rafael Nadal at the 2005 Monte Carlo Masters. Ruud became the first Norwegian to reach a Masters 1000 final, and the first Scandinavian since Robin Söderling at the 2010 Paris Masters.

It was his fourth US Open title and record-extending 24th men's singles major title overall. Djokovic became the oldest US Open men's singles champion in the Open Era, at 36 years and 111 days, as well as the first man to capture the Australian Open, the French Open, and the US Open in a season since Mats Wilander in 1988. By reaching a 47th men's singles major semifinal, Djokovic surpassed Roger Federer's all-time record, and, by reaching the final, he equaled Federer's record of reaching all major finals in a season three times.
