The British Rally Championship is a rallying series run over the course of a year, that comprises seven tarmac and gravel surface events. [1] 2023 is to be the 65th season of the series. The season begins in Cumbria on 11 March and is due to conclude on 27/28 October in the Welsh forests.
Following the Trackrod Rally event in September, French driver Adrien Fourmaux and regular co-driver Alexandre Coria were declared champions having won 5 of the 6 events thus far. [2]
For season 2023 there will be seven events, four on gravel and three on closed road tarmac surfaces. [3]

Points are awarded as follows: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1. Drivers may nominate one event as their 'joker', on which they will score additional points: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. For the final round of the Championship, the points total for that rally will be doubled (Joker points will not be doubled.) Competitors five best scores will count towards their championship total.

Craig Breen was an Irish rally driver who last competed part time for the Hyundai team in the World Rally Championship (WRC). He won the 2012 Super 2000 WRC, scoring class wins in the Monte Carlo Rally, Wales Rally GB, Rally France and the Rally of Spain. Breen won the WRC Academy Cup in 2011, winning his first event at the 2011 Rallye Deutschland and sealing the championship with a win at Wales Rally GB. The Academy title going down to the last stage, with Breen and Estonian rally driver Egon Kaur ending the season, both on 111 points, Breen then won the title on count back of stage wins, 39 to 14. Breen won the 2021 Rentokil Historic Rally in Killarney, Kerry, Ireland in his BMW M3 E30.
The 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge was the sixth season of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The season consisted of twelve rounds and started on 19 January with the Monte Carlo Rally. The season ended on 5 November, at the Cyprus Rally.
