2024 ASEAN University Games officially the 21st ASEAN University Games and also known as Surabaya-Malang 2022 is a regional multi-sport event held from 25 June to 6 July 2024 in Surabaya and Malang, Indonesia.
The MAS SUMA mascot was chosen as the AUG 2024 mascot. MAS SUMA is an acronym for (MASCOT ASEAN UNIVERSITY GAMES SURABAYA MALANG). The mascot is symbolized by a combination of images of a crocodile, shark and lion.

East Java is a province of Indonesia located in the easternmost third of Java island. It has a land border only with the province of Central Java to the west; the Java Sea and the Indian Ocean border its northern and southern coasts, respectively, while the narrow Bali Strait to the east separates Java from Bali by around 2.29 kilometres (1.42 mi). Located in eastern Java, the province also includes the island of Madura, as well as the Kangean islands and other smaller island groups located further east and Masalembu archipelagos in the north. Its capital is Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia, a major industrial center and also a major business center. Banyuwangi is the largest regency in East Java and the largest on the island of Java.

ASEAN School Games (ASG) (informally known as the Youth SEA Games) is an annual multi-sport event for secondary schools student athletes in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and organised under the authority of the ASEAN Schools Sports Council (ASSC). The ASSC is an apolitical regional sports council that promotes sports among member countries. Prior to 2009, the games were played based on satellite, single sports events. This was changed in 2009, where a multi-sport event format was implemented. The 1st ASG planned under the new multi-sport format was hosted by Thailand in 2009, while the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ASG were hosted by Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, respectively.
The 2012 ASEAN University Games officially known as the 16th ASEAN University Games was a Southeast Asian university multi-sports event held in Vientiane, Laos. This was the first time Laos hosted the games. Laos is the eighth nation to host the ASEAN University Games after Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines and Vietnam.

Originally planned to take place from 13 to 22 December 2020, it was eventually rescheduled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bangil Station (BG) is a class I (one) railway station located in Pogar, Bangil, Pasuruan Regency; entered within eastern border of Operational Area VII Surabaya of Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) at the height of ± 9 meters above sea level. To the east of this station, there are branches towards Pasuruan-Probolinggo-Jember-Banyuwangi and to Malang.
The 2024 ASEAN U-19 Boys Championship will be the 19th edition of the ASEAN U-19 Boys Championship, organised by ASEAN Football Federation. It will be hosted by Indonesia during July 2024. This is also the first edition that the tournament was rebranded to ASEAN Championship. Players born on or after 1 January 2005 could participate in this tournament.
