The Nepal men's national cricket team represents the country of Nepal in International cricket and is governed by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). They have been Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1996. Nepal were awarded Twenty20 International (T20I) status by the ICC in June 2014 until the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier and earned One Day International (ODI) status in 2018.
The 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, for the 2016 World Twenty20, was held from 6 to 26 July 2015. The tournament was hosted by both Ireland and Scotland. 51 matches were played among 14 nations, down from 72 matches among 16 nations previously. The tournament formed part of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier series, with the top six teams going forward to the qualifying round of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament.
The 2015–2017 ICC World Cricket League Championship was the second edition of the ICC World Cricket League Championship. It took place from 2015 until 2017, in parallel with the 2015-17 ICC Intercontinental Cup. Both Ireland and Afghanistan had been promoted to the main ICC ODI Championship and did not compete in this tournament. Instead, Kenya and Nepal were included in the tournament. The tournament was played in a round-robin format. All matches were recorded as List A matches, and those in which both teams had ODI status were also recorded as ODIs.
The 2019 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier was a cricket tournament held during October and November 2019 in the United Arab Emirates to determine the teams that would qualify for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. The six teams finishing highest in the qualifier tournament joined Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the first group stage of the 2020 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The tournament formed part of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier series, with the Netherlands winning the final.
The 2019 Thailand Women's T20 Smash was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand from 12 to 19 January 2019. The participants were the women's national sides of Thailand, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal and United Arab Emirates, as well as a Thailand A side. Matches were recognised as official T20I games as per the International Cricket Council's announcement that full T20I status would apply to all the matches played between women's teams of associate members after 1 July 2018. The matches were played at the Asian Institute of Technology Ground and the Terdthai Cricket Ground, both in Bangkok. Thailand won the tournament after winning all of their matches.
The 2022 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series was the 10th round of the 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament that took place in the United Arab Emirates in March 2022. Originally scheduled to take place in February 2023, it was moved back to March 2022 due to fixtures impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic being rearranged.
The 2021–22 Oman Quadrangular Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that took place in Oman in February 2022. The participating teams were the hosts Oman along with Ireland, Nepal and the United Arab Emirates. The series provided all four teams with preparation for the T20 World Cup Global Qualifier Group A, which began on 18 February 2022.
A men's cricket event was held as part of the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China from 27 September to 7 October 2023. Fourteen team competed in the event, and the participating teams were seeded according to their T20I rankings as of 1 June 2023. India won the Gold Medal, while Afghanistan finished as runners-up.
The 2021–22 Nepal T20I Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that took place in Nepal from 28 March to 4 April 2022. The participating teams were the hosts Nepal along with Malaysia and Papua New Guinea. The matches were played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. On 12 March 2022, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) confirmed all the fixtures.
The Uganda women's cricket team toured Nepal in May 2022 to play a five-match bilateral Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) series. All of the matches in the series were played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. These were the first Women's T20I matches played at Kirtipur. The series was used by Uganda as preparation for the 2022 Kwibuka Tournament.
The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
The 2023 Nepal Tri-Nation Series was the 21st, and last, round of the 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament took place in Nepal in March 2023. It was a tri-nation series between Nepal, Papua New Guinea and the United Arab Emirates cricket teams, with the matches played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Going into the final series of the League 2 tournament, Nepal required four wins from four games to claim the third and final automatic place in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, at the expense of Namibia.

The participating teams were the hosts Malaysia along with Hong Kong, Kuwait and Nepal. All the matches were played at Bayuemas Oval in Klang. The tournament formed part of the preparation of all four teams for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier tournament.
The 2023 Malaysia Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket series which took place in Malaysia in September 2023. The participating teams were the hosts Malaysia, along with Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea. The venue for the series was the Bayuemas Oval in Klang. Papua New Guinea won the series by remaining unbeaten in all of their matches.
The 2023 Nepal Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International cricket tournament, took place in October 2023 in Nepal. The participating teams were Nepal, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates. The tournament formed part of all the three teams' preparations for the Asia World Cup Qualifier.
The 2023 Hong Kong Women's Quadrangular Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament which took place in Hong Kong in November 2023. The participating teams were the hosts Hong Kong along with Japan, Nepal and Tanzania. The matches were played at the Hong Kong Cricket Club in Wong Nai Chung Gap.
The 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series was the first round of the 2023–2027 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament took place in Nepal in February 2024. The tri-nation series was contested by the men's national teams of Namibia, Nepal and Netherlands. The matches were played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures.
The 2024 ACC Women's Premier Cup was the inaugural edition of the ACC Women's Premier Cup, hosted by Malaysia in February 2024. The tournament was a part of the qualification pathway for 2024 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup. The Asian Cricket Council announced the complete fixtures for the tournament on 16 January 2024.
The Canada cricket team toured Nepal in February 2024 to play against Nepal cricket team. The tour consisted of three One Day International (ODI) matches. For Nepal, the series provided the preparation for the 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series. In January 2024, the Cricket Association of Nepal announced the bilateral series as a part of Nepal's cricket calendar for 2024.
The Papua New Guinea men's cricket team toured Malaysia in March 2024 to play two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The matches were held at the Bayuemas Oval near Pandamaran. The series formed part of Papua New Guinea's preparation for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
