The 2024 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League Play-off was a cricket tournament that took place in Malaysia from February to March 2024, to decide the final four places in the next CWC Challenge League for the next World Cup cycle.
Kuwait and Tanzania were the first teams to secure a place in the Challenge League. [1] Bahrain also claimed a place, [2] followed by Italy. [3] Kuwait emerged as winners at the end of the tournament. [4]
The eight qualified teams were placed into two groups of four, with the top three teams from each group advancing to the Super Six stage. [5] [6] The best four sides emerging from the Challenge League Play-off competition qualified for the twelve-team World Cup Challenge League field for the next cycle. [7] [8]
In the Challenge League Play-off, the bottom two teams from each of the two groups in the 2019–2022 Challenge League joined four others from outside the 32-team qualification process. These were the four nations with the highest Twenty20 International ranking meeting the following entry requirements: [9]
Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Tanzania qualified for the tournament after meeting the requirements. [10]

The Bahrain national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Bahrain in international cricket. The team is organised by the Bahrain Cricket Association (BCA), which became an ICC affiliate member in 2001 and an associate member in 2017.
The 2013 ICC World Cricket League Division Six was a cricket tournament that took place from 21 to 28 July 2013. It formed part of the ICC World Cricket League and qualifying for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
The 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four was an international cricket tournament that took place during April and May 2018 in Malaysia. It formed part of the 2017–19 cycle of the World Cricket League (WCL) which determined the qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The top two teams were promoted to the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament and the bottom two teams were relegated to Division Five.

The 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier Asia was a cricket tournament that was held in Thailand in February 2019. The fixtures took place at the Terdthai Cricket Ground and the Asian Institute of Technology Ground in Bangkok.

The series took place between 16 and 26 September 2019, with all the matches having List A status.
The 2019 Oman Cricket World Cup Challenge League B was the inaugural edition of Group B of the 2019–2022 Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. It took place in Oman, with all the matches having List A status.
The 2022 Asia Cup Qualification was a men's cricket tournament which took place in Oman in August 2022 to determine qualification for the 2022 Asia Cup. The 2020 editions of the ACC Western and Eastern regional T20 tournaments were held in February and March of the same year by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Thirteen teams competed, with the aim of progressing to the qualifier. These were scheduled to be followed by the Asia Cup Qualifier tournament in Malaysia, which was due to be played in August 2020. However, in July 2020 the Asia Cup was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the postponement of the qualifier. In May 2021, the Asian Cricket Council confirmed that there would be no Asia Cup in 2021, with that edition of the tournament deferred until 2023. It was later announced that there would be a T20I Asia Cup in 2022, to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates.

All of the matches had List A status.
The 2022 Uganda Cricket World Cup Challenge League B was the second round of matches in Group B of the 2019–2022 Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. All of the matches had List A status. The tournament took place in June 2022 in Uganda.
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier was a tournament that was played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup in October 2021. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers were played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). The Asia Qualifier consisted of two sub-regional groups, A and B, with the groups being played in Qatar and Malaysia respectively. The winners of each sub-regional group progressed to one of two global qualifiers. On 2 September 2021, the ICC announced that Group A had been moved from Kuwait to Qatar.
The 2021 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier was a cricket tournament that took place in the United Arab Emirates in November 2021. The matches were played with Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status, with the top team progressing to the 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament. Bhutan and Myanmar were originally scheduled to make their debuts at an ICC women's event. Originally scheduled to take place in September 2021, the tournament was postponed in May 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 Canada Cricket World Cup Challenge League A was played in Canada in July and August 2022. It was the second round of matches in Group A of the 2019–2022 Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which forms part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. All of the matches have List A status, and were played at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground in King City, Ontario. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to take place in August 2021, but was postponed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 Jersey Cricket World Cup Challenge League B was the third and final round of matches in Group B of the 2019–2022 Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which forms part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to take place in Jersey in September 2021, but it was rescheduled to take place in Hong Kong due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a further postponement, in February 2022, the tournament was rescheduled to be played in Jersey in August 2022. This was the first senior international tournament hosted in Jersey since the 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Five.

The 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup qualification was a series of regional qualification tournaments to determine the final five places at the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Nepal became the first team to Qualify for Under-19 World Cup through the Qualifiers.
The 2023 Malaysia Quadrangular Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament which took place in Malaysia in August 2023. The participating teams were the hosts Malaysia along with Hong Kong, Kuwait and Nepal. All the matches were played at Bayuemas Oval in Klang. The tournament formed part of the preparation of all four teams for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier tournament.
The 2026 Under-19 Cricket World Cup qualification is a series of regional qualification tournaments to determine the final five teams for the 2026 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
The 2024 Malaysia Open T20 Championship was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that took place in Malaysia in March 2024. The tournament was contested by the men's national teams of Malaysia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Tanzania and Vanuatu. All five teams remained in Malaysia to play in this T20I tournament after taking part in the 2024 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League Play-off competition.
The 2024 Kenya Cricket World Cup Challenge League A was the first round for Group A of the 2024–2026 Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2027 Cricket World Cup. In August 2024, it was confirmed that Cricket Kenya would host the tournament. The series took place from 26 September to 5 October 2024, with all the matches having List A status.
