Carlos Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud in the final, 6–4, 2–6, 7–6(7–1), 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 US Open. It was his first major title. He claimed the world No. 1 singles ranking with the win; Ruud, Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas were also in contention for the top position. It was his sixth Italian Open title and record-extending 38th Masters 1000 title overall. Djokovic did not lose a set during the tournament, and won his 1000th ATP Tour-level career match against Casper Ruud in the semifinals.

It was his third French Open title and record-breaking 23rd men's singles major title overall, surpassing the all-time record he previously held jointly with Rafael Nadal. With this victory, Djokovic became the first man to achieve a triple career Grand Slam, and became the oldest champion in French Open history at the age of 36 years and 20 days.

Novak Djokovic defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–5), 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 US Open. It was his fourth US Open title and record-extending 24th men's singles major title overall. Djokovic became the oldest US Open men's singles champion in the Open Era, at 36 years and 111 days, as well as the first man to capture the Australian Open, the French Open, and the US Open in a season since Mats Wilander in 1988. By reaching a 47th men's singles major semifinal, Djokovic surpassed Roger Federer's all-time record, and, by reaching the final, he equaled Federer's record of reaching all major finals in a season three times.

The 2024 Jannik Sinner tennis season officially began on 14 January 2024, with the start of the Australian Open in Melbourne. The season saw Jannik Sinner clinch the world number 1 after winning his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz defeated Daniil Medvedev in a rematch of the previous year's final, 7–6(7–5), 6–1 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 Indian Wells Open. It was his fifth ATP Masters 1000 and 13th career ATP Tour title. Alcaraz became the first player to defend the title since Novak Djokovic in 2016, and the eighth overall; he was the second player to do so before turning 21, after Boris Becker in 1988.

Jannik Sinner defeated Grigor Dimitrov in the final, 6–3, 6–1 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 Miami Open. It was his second ATP Masters 1000 title and 13th career ATP Tour title. Sinner became the first Italian singles player, male or female, to win the Miami Open. With the win, Sinner achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2, being the first Italian player of either gender to do so. Sinner became the first player to reach at least the quarterfinals in his first four appearances at the Miami Open since Stefan Edberg in 1991. Aged 22, Sinner also became the youngest player to reach three Miami finals, after two previous finals in 2021 and 2023.

Andrey Rublev defeated Félix Auger-Aliassime in the final, 4–6, 7–5, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 Madrid Open. It was his second Masters 1000 and 16th career ATP Tour singles title. Auger-Aliassime was the first Canadian singles finalist since the tournament's inception in 2002 and the first to reach a Masters 1000 final on clay.

Jannik Sinner defeated Frances Tiafoe in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 Cincinnati Open. It was his third Masters 1000 and 15th career ATP Tour title.

Jannik Sinner defeated Taylor Fritz in the final, 6–3, 6–4, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 US Open. It was his second major title. Sinner became the first Italian man to win the US Open singles title and the first Italian man in the Open Era to win multiple major titles. Sinner was also the fourth man to win both hardcourt majors in the same year, after Mats Wilander, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, and the first man to win his first two major singles titles in the same year since Guillermo Vilas in 1977.
