The 2025 Super Rugby Women's season is the eighth and current season of the top-flight Australian and Fijian women's rugby union competition, Super Rugby. The season fixtures were released on 20 November 2024, consisting of five rounds (two matches per round), [a] and a Finals series to decide the season champions. [1] [2] The season fixture had a notable admission of the former team based in Victoria, the Melbourne Rebels. Rugby Australia (RA) announced in May 2024 that the men's team would be axed from the men's competition following the 2024 season. [3] [4] It was revealed later in the year (October 2024) that the women's team would also be axed. [5]
It was also revealed that the 2025 Super Rugby Women's season champions would play the champions of the New Zealand domestic champions (Super Rugby Aupiki) following the conclusion of the season, also known as the Super Rugby Champions Final. [1] [6] [7] It will be the first edition of the new competition.
The New South Wales Waratahs are the defending champions. [8] [9]

The ACT Brumbies is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT), The team competes in Super Rugby and named for the feral horses which inhabit the capital's hinterland. The team represents the ACT, as well as the Far South Coast and Southern Inland regions of New South Wales (NSW).
The Melbourne Rebels were an Australian professional rugby union team based in Melbourne that competed in the Super Rugby Pacific competition. The Rebels made their debut in SANZAR's Super Rugby tournament in 2011. The club shared its name with a former Australian Rugby Championship team, but was unrelated. The team played home matches at AAMI Park.
The Fijian Drua is a professional rugby union team based in Fiji that competes in the Super Rugby. The team was created by the Fiji Rugby Union and launched in August 2017, shortly before the 2017 National Rugby Championship. The team previously competed in the Australian National Rugby Championship competition between 2017 and 2019, when the tournament was disbanded.

Matches were broadcast on Fox Sports and the championship featured eight professional teams, seven from Australia and one from Fiji.

The 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season is the 27th season of Super Rugby, an annual rugby union competition organised by SANZAAR between teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Samoa and Tonga. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the previous seasons were replaced with Super Rugby Unlocked, Super Rugby Aotearoa and Super Rugby AU in 2020, and Super Rugby Aotearoa, Super Rugby AU, and Super Rugby Trans-Tasman in 2021. The 2022 edition will revert to a 12-team competition, with a single pool replacing the geographical conference system, as well as introducing a new name for the reformatted competition. The season is expected to run from 18 February, with the final to be played on 18 June - culminating before the start of the mid-year international window.
The Fijian Drua Women are a Fijian rugby union team based in Fiji. They compete in the Super Rugby Women's competition. They were crowned champions in their inaugural season in 2022, and successfully defended their title in 2023. The first official try to go into the history books for the Fijiana Drua Women’s rugby team was scored by hooker Jiowana Bulaoca Sauto during their inaugural Super W match against the Melbourne Rebels on March 5, 2022, at Endeavour Hills Rugby Grounds.
Merewalesi Rokouono is a Fijian rugby league, rugby union and sevens player. She competed for both Fiji in the 2021 Rugby League World Cup at rugby league and for Fiji in rugby union at the 2021 Rugby World Cup. She played for the North Queensland Cowboys in the 2023 NRL Women's season.

The Melbourne Rebels Women were an Australian rugby union team that competed in the annual Super Rugby Women's competition. The team was formed after Rugby Australia announced that a 15-a-side women's rugby competition would be launched in 2018.
The 2023 Super W season is the sixth edition of the competition. The season kicked off on 24 March, with the final played on 6 May. In a historic first, defending champions, Fijiana Drua, got to play in front of their home crowd in Nadi against the Brumbies on 25 March.
