Coffs Harbour, locally nicknamed Coffs, is a city on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, 540 km (340 mi) north of Sydney, and 390 km (240 mi) south of Brisbane. It is one of the largest urban centres on the North Coast, with a population of 78,759 as per 2021 census. The Gumbaynggirr are the original people of the Coffs Harbour region.

Taree can be reached by train via the North Coast Railway, and by the Pacific Highway. Taree railway station is on the North Coast line of the NSW TrainLink network. It is serviced by six NSW TrainLink trains daily: three heading to Sydney, another three heading North to Grafton, Casino or Brisbane. Taree is within the local government area of Mid-Coast Council, the state electorate of Myall Lakes and the Federal electorate of Lyne.

Wauchope railway station is located on the North Coast line, in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the town of Wauchope, opening on 12 April 1915 when the line was extended from Taree. It was the terminus of the line until it was extended to Kempsey on 3 December 1917. The present station building was erected in 1990.
