Asian Football Confederation International governing body for association football in Asia

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is one of the six continental confederations within FIFA and is the governing body of association football in Asia and Australia. It has 47 member countries, mostly located on the Asian continent, but excludes the transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkey – which are instead members of UEFA. Three other states located geographically along the western fringe of Asia – Cyprus, Armenia and Israel – are also UEFA members. The AFC Futsal Championship is the premier international futsal competition for the Asian Football Confederation national teams. It was first held in 1999 and was played annually until 2008; since then it has been played biennially.

The Iran national futsal team represents Iran in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Futsal Commission of the Iranian Football Federation. The "Kings of Asian Futsal" are by far the strongest Asian team and one of the best teams in the world according to the Futsal World Ranking.

The futsal competition at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 7 to 18 October. At Tecnópolis and the CeNARD, the first one located in Villa Martelli, and the second one in Buenos Aires. There are two tournaments, one for boys and one for girls.

The 2019 AFC U-20 Futsal Championship was the second edition of AFC U-20 Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's youth national futsal teams of Asia.

The Indonesia national under-20 futsal team for represents Indonesia in international futsal competitions that pertain to under-20 age level and is controlled by the Futsal Commission of the Football Association of Indonesia.

The 2021 AFC Beach Soccer Championship will be the 10th edition of the AFC Beach Soccer Championship, the premier beach soccer tournament contested by Asian men's national teams, organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The 2021 AFC U-20 Championship will be the third edition of AFC U-20 Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's youth national futsal teams of Asia. The tournament was originally scheduled between 22–30 May 2021, but had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
