The AFC U-16 Championship is a football competition, organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held once every two years for Asian under-16 teams that also serves as a qualification tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The top 4 countries qualify to participate in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Until 2006 it was held as an under-17 tournament. The AFC have proposed switching back to an under-17 tournament starting from 2023. [1]

West Asian Football Federation governing body of association football in Western Asia

The West Asian Football Federation (WAFF), founded in 2001, is an association of the football playing nations in Western Asia. Its founding members are Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. In 2009, three more associations joined the federation: Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. Four other nations of Western Asia: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia joined in 2010. Iran left the federation on 10 June 2014 with the creation of Central Asian Football Federation.

UEFA European Under-17 Championship

The UEFA European Under-17 Championship is an annual football competition contested by the European men's under-17 national teams of the member associations of UEFA.

The FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup is an international association football tournament for female players under the age of 17. It is organized by Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The tournament is held in even-numbered years, starting in 2008. The current champion is Spain, which won its first title at the 2018 tournament in Uruguay.

The AFC U-19 Championship, formerly known as the AFC Youth Championship, is a biennial international association football competition organised by the sport's Asian governing body, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The competition has been held since 1959. Between 1959 and 1978 the tournament was held annually, since 1980 it has been held every two years.

The AFC U-20 Women's Championship is an association football tournament for women's national teams under the age of 20, organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It is organised by the Asian Football Confederation every two years, and serves as a qualifying competition for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. It was first played in 2002 as the AFC U-19 Women's Championship with an upper age limit of 19. Starting from the 2022 edition, the age limit was raised to 20.

AFC U-17 Womens Championship

The AFC U-17 Women's Championship, founded as the AFC U-16 Women's Championship, later changed to its current name after the 2019 edition, is a biennial women's football tournament for youth teams organised by the Asian Football Confederation. It further serves as the qualifying competition for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. The AFC have agreed to the proposal for switching the tournament from under-16 to under-17 starting from 2022.

Africa U-17 Cup of Nations

The TotalU-17 Africa Cup of Nations is a bi-annual football competition organised by the sport's African governing body, CAF. The competition has been held since 1995. Between 1985 and 1993 only qualifying competitions for the FIFA U-17 World Cup were played.

Africa Futsal Cup of Nations tournament

The Total Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, is the main national futsal competition of the Confederation of African Football nations. It was first held in 1996 and has been played every four years. It is a qualification to FIFA Futsal World Cup.

The OFC Futsal Championship is the main national futsal competition of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) nations. It was first held in 1992.

The OFC U-19 Championship is a tournament held once every two years to decide the under-19 champions of Oceania and also decides who will represent Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) at the biennial FIFA U-20 World Cup.

AFC Beach Soccer Championship

The AFC Beach Soccer Championship is the main international championship for beach soccer in Asia, mirroring that of the AFC Asian Cup in association football. Also known as the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers for AFC, the championship was established in 2006 after FIFA made requirements for all confederations to begin holding a qualification tournament to determine the best national team(s) in the region and hence those who would proceed to represent their continent in the World Cup.

CONCACAF Under-20 Championship

The CONCACAF Under-20 Championship is the second longest running international association football event in the North America, Central America and the Caribbean region, CONCACAF, and is the qualification tournament for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The format of the tournament has undergone changes over the years. The tournament proper is currently played with a first round of four round-robin groups from which the top two sides from each group advance to a single-elimination championship round.
