The Afghanistan national futsal team is controlled by the Afghanistan Football Federation, the governing body for futsal in Afghanistan and represents the country in international futsal competitions.

Contents

In the first edition of the CAFA Futsal Cup, the country came second in the 2023 CAFA Futsal Cup.

Afghanistan futsal had a magical journey in 2024, with their first tournament of AFC Futsal Asian Cup, they surprisingly finished in fifth place and qualified for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

Founded in 1922, they played their first international game against Iran in Kabul, 1941. Afghanistan then joined FIFA in 1948 and the AFC in 1954, as one of the founding members. The 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the tenth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Uzbekistan. It was the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Uzbekistan and a Central Asian country.
