Aathbiskot is a Municipality in West Rukum District in Karnali Province of Nepal that was established in 2015 through the merging the former Village development committees of Aathbiskot, Aathbisdandagaun, Ghetma, Magma, Gotamkot and Syalakhadi. [1]
At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, Aathbiskot Municipality had a population of 33,624. of these, 99.9% spoke Nepali, 0.1% Maithili and 0.1% other languages as their first language. [2]
In terms of ethnicity/caste, 44.7% were Chhetri, 25.6% Kami, 12.1% Magar, 7.8% Thakuri, 4.2% Damai/Dholi, 2.1% Sarki, 1.6% Hill Brahmin, 1.1% Sanyasi/Dasnami, 0.3% Badi, 0.1% other Dalit, 0.1% Sonar, 0.1% Tamang, 0.1% other Terai and 0.1% others. [3]
In terms of religion, 98.5% were Hindu and 1.4% Christian. [4]
In terms of literacy, 58.3% could read and write, 2.1% could only read and 39.5% could neither read nor write. [5]
To Promote local culture Aathbiskot has one FM radio station Radio Sisne - 92.8 MHz Which is a Community radio Station.[ citation needed ]
Gorkha is a municipality in Gorkha District in Gandaki Province of Nepal created in 1996. It was initially named "Prithvinarayan" after King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who was born in Gorkha and united and founded modern Nepal. In 2009, the name was changed to "Gorkha" municipality after the end of the monarchy in Nepal. At the time of the 2021 Nepal census it had a population of 53,285 people living in 12,641 individual households. In 2014, the neighboring Village development committees Nareshwar and Phinam were merged into the municipality.
Nilkantha or Neelkantha is one of two Municipalities in Dhading District in the Bagmati Province of central Nepal. Musikot is a municipality and the district headquarter of Western Rukum District in Karnali Province of Nepal that was established as Musikot Khalanga on 2 December 2014 by merging the two former Village development committees Musikot and Khalanga. From 2014 until 2018, Musikot was called Musikot Khalanga and until 2017 served as the district headquarter of Rukum District. It lies on the bank of Sani Bheri River. It borders with Eastern Rukum in the east, Sanibheri rural municipality in the west, Banfikot rural municipality in the north and Tribeni rural municipality and Rolpa district in the south.
Godawari is a municipality in Lalitpur District in Bagmati Province of Nepal. It was established on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village development committees Godawari, Badikhel, Bisankhunarayan, Godamchaur and Thaiba of Lalitpur District of Bagmati Zone. The municipality area was again expanded in March 2017 to include in total 12 previous VDCs. The six VDCs added were Devichaur, Dukuchhap, Chhampi, Thecho, Chapagaun, Jharuwarasi and Lele. The centre of this municipality is located at Bajrabarahi.
