The Joint Contracts Tribunal, also known as the JCT, produces standard forms of contract for construction, guidance notes and other standard documentation for use in the construction industry in the United Kingdom. From its establishment in 1931, JCT has expanded the number of contributing organisations. Following recommendations in the 1994 Latham Report, the current operational structure comprises seven members who approve and authorise publications. In 1998 the JCT became a limited company.
The Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA) is a UK body which represents the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, installers and contractors within the refrigeration, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning industry. It is based in Hare Hatch near Wokingham.
The National Federation of Builders (NFB) is a United Kingdom trade association representing the interests of regional contractors and small and medium sized house builders (up to 250 homes per annum) in England and Wales.
Kier Group plc is a British construction, services and property group active in building and civil engineering, support services, and the Private Finance Initiative.
Keller Group plc is a geotechnical engineering company. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. The company is the world's largest geotechnical specialist contractor. It announced, in January 2023, that an "apparently sophisticated" fraud had been found at one of its subsidiaries.
The Consulting Association (TCA) was a controversial UK business, based in Droitwich, which, from 1993 to 2009, maintained a database of British construction workers and became implicated in a "blacklisting" scandal, which is ongoing. Revelations about the database resulted in the business being shut down, the Employment Relations Act 1999 (Blacklists) Regulations 2010, a Parliamentary enquiry, High Court actions leading to compensation payouts valued at between £50m and £250m in total, and a series of cases being brought to the European Court of Human Rights.
The Strategic Forum for Construction is a United Kingdom construction industry organisation established in 2001 as the principal point of liaison between UK government and the major construction membership organisations. It also enables different representatives of the UK industry to discuss strategic issues facing construction and to develop joint strategies for industry improvement.
From January 2009 until September 2015, the UK Contractors Group (UKCG) was the primary association for construction contractors operating in the UK. In September 2015, it merged with the National Specialist Contractors Council to form Build UK.
ECA is the main trade association for companies involved in electrotechnical and other technical engineering projects in England, Northern Ireland and Wales. SELECT, founded in 1900 as the Electrical Contractors' Association of Scotland, is the Scottish construction trade association for specialist businesses in the electrical industry.
Build UK is a representative organisation in the UK construction industry. It was formed by the 2015 merger of the UK Contractors Group (UKCG) and the National Specialist Contractors Council (NSCC). Combining clients, main contractors, trade associations, and other organisations, it claims to represent over 40% of UK construction.
SureserveGroup plc is a UK-based asset and energy support services group. It was founded in 1988, with headquarters in Dartford, Kent. In October 2018, it employed around 2,000 staff in 23 UK offices.
RSK Group is a privately held UK-based environmental, engineering and technical services group, comprising over 175 companies employing some 10,000 people and with turnover of £796m in 2022.
