Robertson Group is a large British construction company based in Elgin, Scotland, but also operating in the north and midlands of England. It is the largest construction company in Scotland. [2]

History

The company was founded by Bill Robertson in Elgin in 1966. [3] Following substantial growth in company's activities in the late 20th century and early 21st century, he was appointed a Companion of the Order of the British Empire in the 2007 Birthday Honours, [4] and was appointed a knight bachelor in the 2023 New Year Honours. [5]

Aberdeen University School of Medicine, Medical Sciences & Nutrition contains the Medical School and Dental School at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. It also provides training and carries out research in medical sciences, nutrition, public health, dentistry, health sciences, physician associate studies at BSc, MSc, and PhD levels. The current school was formed from the merger of the former School of Medicine & Dentistry, School of Medical Sciences, and the Rowett Institute of Nutrition.

Thomas David King Murray, Lord Birnam,, known as Lord Murray between 1938 and 1941 and Sir David King Murray between 1941 and 1945, was a Scottish advocate and judge who served for two years as Unionist Member of Parliament (MP).

The Inverness and Ross-shire Railway was a Scottish railway company formed in 1860 to build a line from Inverness to Invergordon. It opened in 1862 as far as Dingwall and in 1863 to Invergordon. It was extended to a Bonar Bridge station in 1864. It provided the basis for later extensions that eventually reached Thurso, forming the Far North Line. The Dingwall and Skye Railway branched off at Dingwall to reach the Kyle of Lochalsh.

The Inverness and Aberdeen Junction Railway (I&AJR) was a railway company in Scotland, created to connect other railways and complete the route between Inverness and Aberdeen. The Inverness and Nairn Railway had opened to the public on 7 November 1855 and the Great North of Scotland Railway (GNoSR) was building from Aberdeen to Keith. The I&AJR opened, closing the gap, on 18 August 1856.

The 2012–13 season was Aberdeen's 100th season in the top flight of Scottish football. Aberdeen competed in the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup. They finished 8th in the Premier League, reached the fourth round of the League Cup and the fifth round of the Scottish Cup. A number of players all departed during the summer's pre-season. Kari Arnason, Rory McArdle, Youl Mawene and Mohamed Chalali all moved on to new clubs as free agents. Darren Mackie, Yoann Folly and Danny Uchechi were also released by the club. Aberdeen also sold youngster Fraser Fyvie to Premier League side Wigan Athletic for a fee in the region of £500,000.

Steven Mackay is a Scottish football manager and player. After a spell as assistant manager of Scottish League Two club Elgin City, he now manages Highland League club, Nairn County.

The 2022–23 North Caledonian Football League was the 114th season of the North Caledonian Football League, and the second season as part of the sixth tier of the Scottish football pyramid system.
