Adlai E. Stevenson High School is a public high school located in Sterling Heights, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Stevenson is a part of Utica Community Schools, Michigan's second largest school district.
The school was named for Adlai E. Stevenson, a two-time candidate for President of the United States and former United Nations ambassador. In athletics, the school is often referred to as "Sterling Heights Stevenson". The school's mascot is the "Titans."
Stevenson High School newspaper is called The Vanguard and its yearbook is called The Ambassador.
Stevenson High School's motto is The School of Champions.
The Titans are a Division 1 School in the MHSAA and compete in The Macomb Area Conference in lacrosse, competitive cheerleading, football, marching band, baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, dance team, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, and volleyball.
NHL Professional Hockey players Derian and Kevin Hatcher both hail from Stevenson.
The school created an athletic hall of fame, celebrating their first class in 2023. Eight former athletes and two former coaches were honored, including Dan Jilek and Pete Chryplewicz. [3] The 2024 Fall of Fame class included 4 athletes including Frank Zombo, Jim Szymanski, and Chris Liwienski, along with 3 coaches, and one contributor who served as the "Voice of the Titans" for over 30 seasons. This year also included the 1985 Girls Cross Country Team. [4]
Adlai Ewing Stevenson II was an American politician and diplomat and who was the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 1961 until his death in 1965. He previously served as the 31st governor of Illinois from 1949 to 1953 and was the Democratic nominee for president of the United States in 1952 and 1956, losing both elections to Dwight D. Eisenhower in landslides. Stevenson was the grandson of Adlai Stevenson I, the 23rd vice president of the United States. He was raised in Bloomington, Illinois and was a member of the Democratic Party. He served in many positions in the federal government during the 1930s and 1940s, including the Agricultural Adjustment Administration, Federal Alcohol Administration, Department of the Navy, and the State Department. In 1945, he served on the committee that created the United Nations, and was a member of the initial U.S. delegations to the UN.

Earl Cureton was an American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "the Twirl", he played college basketball for the Robert Morris Colonials and Detroit Mercy Titans. Cureton was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the third round of the 1979 NBA draft. He won an NBA championship with the 76ers and the Houston Rockets, and also played in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte Hornets, and Toronto Raptors. He also played in multiple countries overseas.
Chris Liwienski is a former American football guard. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL draft. He played college football at Indiana.

Roy F. Kramer is a former American high school, college football coach and athletics administrator. Kramer was the head football coach for Central Michigan University from 1967 to 1977, compiling a record of 83–32–2 and winning the 1974 NCAA Division II Football Championship. He then served as the athletic director at Vanderbilt University from 1978 to 1990, and later as the commissioner of the Southeastern Conference from 1990 to 2002, where he created the Bowl Championship Series.

Francis Lloyd Brazil was an American athlete, coach and athletic director at the University of Detroit for 38 years. He played halfback for the University of Detroit football team from 1927 to 1929 and was selected as an All-American in 1928 and 1929. After graduating, he remained at the University of Detroit and spent his entire professional career there. He served as the head coach of the baseball and basketball teams, assistant coach of the football team, and director of athletics. He was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1961 and the University of Detroit Titans Hall of Fame in 1977.
Frank William Zombo III is an American former professional football linebacker. He was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and later won Super Bowl XLV with them over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at Central Michigan.

He is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of The Whitmore Agency, LLC a Long Island insurance brokerage and financial services firm that opened during 1989. Metzger is a former USILA All-American Team college lacrosse player at Hofstra University and an multi-sport athlete at Half Hollow Hills High School East, HHHE, in Dix Hills, New York. His high school lacrosse jersey (#21) and university lacrosse jersey (#56) have been retired, and his high school football jersey (#21) also has been retired. Metzger is the first and only football alumnus and one of only two lacrosse players in HHHE history to have his jersey retired. Metzger has established financial endowments at both his high school and college alma maters. He is a leading athletics benefactor in New York State.

James Paul Szymanski is a former American football defensive end. He played for the Denver Broncos from 1990 to 1991. He was drafted by the Broncos in the tenth round of the 1990 NFL Draft. He was placed on IR in 1993 for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
