Giovanni El-Hadi (born August 3, 2003) is an American football offensive guard for the Michigan Wolverines.
El-Hadi attended Adlai E. Stevenson High School located in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a four star recruit and the 76th overall recruit in the class of 2021, where he committed to play college football for the Michigan Wolverines over offers from other schools such as Central Michigan, Indiana, Iowa State, Penn State, Purdue, and Western Michigan. During his first collegiate season in 2021, El-Hadi used the season to redshirt. [3] In the 2022 season, he played in 14 games with three starts, as he helped the offensive line win the Joe Moore Award. [4] [5] During the 2023 season, El-Hadi appeared in 15 games as a reserve, as he helped Michigan to National Championship win. [6] Heading into the 2024 season, El-Hadi entered the season as the team's starting right guard. [7] El-Hadi finished the 2024 season, starting all 13 games at guard for the Wolverines. [8] After the conclusion of the season, he decided to return to Michigan for his final collegiate season. [6]
