Keon Sabb (born September 18, 2002) is an American football safety for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He previously played for the Michigan Wolverines, winning a national championship in 2023.
Sabb was born and raised in Glassboro, New Jersey. [1] He initially attended Glassboro High School before transferring to nearby Williamstown High School for his junior year then finishing at IMG Academy for his senior season. [2] In Sabb's freshman season, he totaled 46 tackles, seven pass deflections, and six interceptions. [3] In his sophomore season, Sabb defensively had 31 tackles and five interceptions. Offensively he had 29 receptions for 376 yards, and six touchdowns, while also throwing a touchdown pass. [4] In Sabb's junior season, he played both ways making 19 catches for 358 yards and three touchdowns, while also notching 19 tackles. [5] Coming out of high school, Sabb was rated as a four-star recruit and held offers from schools such as Georgia, Clemson, Texas A&M, Penn State, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Michigan. [6] Sabb initially decided to commit to play college football for the Clemson Tigers. [7] [8] However on December 6, 2021, he decided to de-commit from the Tigers and flip his commitment to play for the Michigan Wolverines. [9] [10] [11] [12]
In 2022, Sabb enrolled at the University of Michigan, and in his first season he appeared in four games, but did not record any statistics. [13]
As a sophomore in 2023, Sabb started five games for the Wolverines. Including his first career start week one versus East Carolina, and a start in the National Championship Game. In total, Sabb recorded 28 tackles, a shared sack and two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. [14] [15]
After starting in five of 29 games in his first two seasons behind Rod Moore and Makari Paige, Sabb entered the NCAA transfer portal after both Moore and Paige returned to Michigan for their senior seasons in 2024. [16]
On February 19, 2024, Sabb transferred to Alabama, becoming one of the first recruits to join the football program following retirement of Nick Saban and hiring of Kalen DeBoer. [17] He played both Alabama and DeBoer in the 2023–24 College Football Playoff, the Crimson Tide in the 2024 Rose Bowl, and DeBoer as head coach at Washington in the national championship.

It marked the Crimson Tide's 118th overall season of playing college football, 79th as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and 21st within the SEC Western Division. The team was led by head coach Nick Saban, in his sixth year, and played its home games at Bryant–Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It finished the season with a record of 13 wins and 1 loss, as SEC champion and as consensus national champion after it defeated Notre Dame in the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) National Championship Game.

George Campbell IV is an American football wide receiver who is a free agent. He was rated as the tenth best player by ESPN and as a top-10 wide receiver by Scout.com and Rivals.com in the national high school class of 2015. He completed his junior season at East Lake High School during the 2013–14 school year. He committed to Michigan prior to his high school junior season, but decommitted following the season and committed to Florida State Seminoles, where he used three years of eligibility before graduating. He has also accepted an invitation to participate in the 2015 Under Armour All-America Game. In 2020, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL).

They finished the season with a record of 14 wins and 1 loss, as SEC champions and as consensus national champions after they defeated Clemson in the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship Game. Alabama also secured its 10th Associated Press (AP) national title. Running back Derrick Henry became Alabama's second Heisman Trophy recipient. He led the nation in both rushing yards (2,219) and rushing touchdowns (28).
Shea Christopher Patterson is an American professional football quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Ole Miss Rebels (2016–2017) and the Michigan Wolverines (2018–2019). He was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He was drafted in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft by the Texas Rangers and they retain his rights until 2024. The Michigan Panthers drafted Patterson with the first pick in the 2022 USFL draft. He has also played with the New Orleans Breakers of the United States Football League (USFL).
Kareem Walker is an American football running back who is a free agent. He attended the University of Michigan on a scholarship to play college football for the Michigan Wolverines football team starting during the 2016 season, but left the team in 2018. Walker played as a true freshman at Michigan, then took a redshirt year before transferring to Fort Scott Community College in Kansas in 2018. He played for Mississippi State from 2019 to 2020 and South Alabama in 2021.

The 2023 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the East Division of the Big Ten Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. In their ninth and final year under head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines compiled an undefeated 15–0 record, outscored opponents by a total of 538 to 156, and won their third consecutive Big Ten championship with a 26–0 victory over Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game. They defeated No. 4 Alabama, 27–20 in overtime, in the 2024 Rose Bowl. The Wolverines then defeated No. 2 Washington, 34–13, in the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship to claim the first College Football Playoff (CFP) title and 12th national championship in program history, the first since 1997, and the first consensus national championship since 1948. With a win against Maryland on November 18, Michigan became the first program in college football history to reach 1,000 wins.
