Karsen Barnhart (born March 2, 2001) is an American professional football offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, where he was an All-Big Ten selection, winning three consecutive Big Ten Conference titles and a national championship in 2023.
Barnhart was born in Paw Paw, Michigan, the son of Jeff and Jennifer Barnhart, where he attended Paw Paw High School, playing baseball, basketball and football. [1] He played his junior season at Paw Paw at tight end, after spending his first two years on the offensive line. [2] He caught 17 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns as junior and senior, as well as serving as an offensive lineman. He received All-State honors from the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association, Associated Press and The Detroit News. He was ranked a four-star recruit, and the No. 15 guard and No. 7 player in Michigan by 247Sports. [3] He received offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and USC. Barnhart committed to the University of Michigan in April 2018. [6] [7] As a freshman in 2019, he appeared in two games at left tackle, and played special teams in one game. He made his collegiate debut on August 31, 2019, in a game against Middle Tennessee.
As a sophomore in 2020, he appeared in all six games, with four starts at left tackle. He started in place of the injured Ryan Hayes, in a season that was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [8]
As a junior in 2021, he appeared in 10 games, including two starts at left guard. He was a part of the Joe Moore Award winning offensive line. [9] [3]
As a senior in 2022, he started appeared in ten games, with nine starts, at tackle and was again part of the Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line. [10] Following the season he was named All-Big Ten honorable mention. [11] He was also named Michigan's most improved player on offense. [12]
As a graduate student in 2023, he started all 15 games for Michigan’s national championship team, including starts at right tackle, right guard and left tackle. [13] After offensive guard Zak Zinter sustained a broken tibia and fibula in Michigan's final regular season victory against Ohio State, it was announced Barnhart would shift from right tackle to guard for the remainder to the season. [14] Following the season he was named second-team All-Big Ten by the coaches. [15] [16]
On January 6, 2024, Barnhart declared for the 2024 NFL draft. [17]

On April 27, 2024, Barnhart signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent, reuniting him with former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. [20] [21] [22] He was waived on August 27, and re-signed to the practice squad. [23] [24]
David Michael Molk is an American former football center who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the San Diego Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Molk played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, where he was a consensus All-American and the Rimington Trophy winner in 2011, as the best center in college football. He was selected by the Chargers in the 2012 NFL draft.
Mason Cole is an American football center. He played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, where he was twice named an All-Big Ten selection. He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft, playing there for three seasons. He has also played for the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Aidan Joseph Bernardi Hutchinson is an American professional football defensive end for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). Hutchinson was a unanimous All-American at the University of Michigan, and the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2021. He was selected with the second overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft by the Detroit Lions, and named to the All-Rookie Team in 2022. Hutchinson was voted to his first Pro Bowl in 2023.
Blake Nolan Corum is an American professional football running back for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He was a two-time All-American for the Michigan Wolverines. Corum is the all-time leader for the University of Michigan in rushing touchdowns with 58, including the single season record of 27 rushing touchdowns in 2023, culminating in a national championship. The 2021 Michigan Wolverines football team was an American football team that represented the University of Michigan as a member of the East Division of the Big Ten Conference during the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. In their seventh year under head coach Jim Harbaugh, the team compiled a 12–2 record, won the Big Ten championship, outscored opponents by a total of 501 to 243, and was ranked No. 3 in the final AP and Coaches Polls. The Wolverines advanced to the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history, losing to eventual national champion Georgia in the Orange Bowl.
The 2022 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the East Division of the Big Ten Conference during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by eighth-year head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines compiled an overall record of 12–0 in the regular season with a mark of 9–0 in conference play, winning the Big Ten East Division title for the second consecutive season. The 2023 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the East Division of the Big Ten Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. In their ninth and final year under head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines compiled an undefeated 15–0 record, outscored opponents by a total of 538 to 156, and won their third consecutive Big Ten championship with a 26–0 victory over Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game. They defeated No. 4 Alabama, 27–20 in overtime, in the 2024 Rose Bowl. They then defeated No. 2 Washington, 34–13, in the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship to claim their first CFP title and 12th national championship in program history, their first since 1997, and their first consensus national championship since 1948. With their win against Maryland on November 18, the Wolverines became the first program in college football history to reach 1,000 wins.
