The Agrarian Party (Italian : Partito Agrario, PA) was a right-wing political party in Italy. [1]
The Agrarian Party the principal party of reference of the land owners and it was characterized by an economist vision and a conservative and reactionary tendency. Its main members were the prince Pietro Lanza di Scalea, who served as Minister of War in the first government of Luigi Facta and later as Minister of the Colonies in the government of Benito Mussolini, Francesco Saverio d'Ayala and Giovanni Lo Monte. In 1924, many members of the Agrarian Party merged into Mussolini's National List.

The Right group, later called Historical Right by historians to distinguish it from the right-wing groups of the 20th century, was an Italian centrist parliamentary group during the second half of the 19th century. After 1876, the Historical Right constituted the Constitutional opposition toward the left governments. It originated in the convergence of the most liberal faction of the moderate right and the moderate wing of the democratic left. The party included men from heterogeneous cultural, class, and ideological backgrounds, ranging from Anglo-Saxon individualist liberalism to Neo-Hegelian liberalism as well as liberal-conservatives, from strict secularists to more religiously-oriented reformists. Few prime ministers after 1852 were party men; instead they accepted support where they could find it, and even the governments of the Historical Right during the 1860s included leftists in some capacity.

Free and Equal is a left-wing parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies and a sub-group in the Senate, the two houses of the Italian Parliament. LeU was launched on 3 December 2017 as a federation of political parties including Article 1, Italian Left and Possible. The leader of the alliance for the 2018 general election was Pietro Grasso, former President of the Senate and former anti-Mafia prosecutor. The three founding parties left the alliance in late 2018, but LeU continued to exist in Parliament. Following the 2021 Italian government crisis, LeU has a single minister in the national unity government of Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
