Ali Demi Street

Ali Demi Street (Albanian : Rruga e Ali Demit) is a major street of Tirana, Albania. It is named after Ali Demi, a World War II hero. It is an important central street of eastern Tirana and branches off the Bajram Curri Boulevard. [1] Several universities and colleges are located along this street. In this street is located the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ali Demi was an Albanian hero of World War II and a communist, born in Filiates, Greece. He was killed in battle fighting German forces in Vlora, Albania in 1943.

Sacred Heart Church (Tirana)

The Sacred Heart Church is a Roman Catholic church in Tirana, Albania. Built in 1939 during the Italian invasion of Albania, it is the oldest Catholic church in the city.

Zoopark Tirana

Zoopark Tirana is a public zoo located in Tirana, Albania. It is the only zoo of its kind in the country. Built during 1960–1961, the zoo is concentrated in an area of 6.09 ha in the southern part of the city, between the Grand Park and the Botanical Gardens.

Bajram Curri Boulevard Road in Tirana, Albania

Bajram Curri Boulevard is a major boulevard of Tirana, Albania. It runs in a west–east direction and crosses the city centre south of the central Skanderbeg Square. At Rinia Park it intersects with Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard just south of the square. Towards the east it branches off into Ali Demi Street. In the past, it held the name Shqiperia e Re. The boulevard, along with Zhan D'Ark Boulevard, underwent reconstruction in 2003.

It is the most important street of western Tirana and runs west from the central Skanderbeg Square for several kilometres and continues further west to the Adriatic Sea. Lapraka Airfield

The Lapraka Airfield or Tirana Aerodrome was an airfield located in Tirana, Albania. It is the former airport of Albania's capital. It used to house an air force regiment with Y-5s, operating from the old runway, and later, from the grass runway. Currently, Lapraka only houses the helicopters of the Albanian government. The airfield is located in the north western part of Tirana, although it is hardly recognizable as such. From the town center, take the Rruga Durresi towards Durres.

Prison Hospital of Tirana

The Prison Hospital of Tirana is a prison in Tirana, Albania. It was established in 1930. It was closed under the Communist regime, but was reopened in 1998.

Tirana 1 is one of the 24 administrative units in Tirana.

The Albanian Futsal Cup is the second most important event in Albanian futsal, after the League. It was founded in 2011 and 8 best teams of the season took part. KS Ali Demi were crowned winners of the first Cup, beating 5 times futsal champions Tirana by penalties 4–3, after regular and extra time finished in a 2–2 draw. The final was played out on December 24, 2011, and took place in Asllan Rusi Sports Palace in Tirane. The most recent final played on May 3, 2016 between Ali Demi and Tirana ended 9–5, with Ali Demi lifting their record 4th cup.

The Qemal Stafa High School is a high school, located in Tirana, Albania.

KS Ali Demi is a professional futsal team based in Tirana, Albania, since 2004, and plays in the Albanian Futsal Championship. The club's youth football academy is a partner of Italian club Torino.
