Amizar bin Abu Adam (born 1973) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Pahang State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail since February 2024 and Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pelangai since October 2023. He is a member and Division Committee Member of Bentong of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition.
In the 2022 Pahang state election,Amizar made his electoral debut after being nominated by BN to contest for the Ketari state seat. He was not elected as the Ketari MLA after losing narrowly to Thomas Su Keong Siong of Pakatan Harapan (PH) by a minority of only 120 votes.
In the 2023 Pelangai by-election held on 7 October 2023 due to the vacancy of the state seat as a result of its MLA Johari Harun in the Elmina plane crash on 17 August 2023,Amizar was renominated by BN to contest for the state seat. [1] He won the seat and was elected to the Pahang State Legislative Assembly as the Pelangai MLA for the first term after defeating Kasim Samat of Perikatan Nasional (PN) and independent candidate Haslihelmy DM Zulhasli by a majority of 2,949 votes. [2]
On 13 February 2024,Amizar was appointed as Pahang EXCO Member to fill the vacancy left by Johari. [3] The following day on 14 February 2024,Amizar was given the portfolios of FELDA Affairs,Cooperative and Entrepreneur Development which were previously assumed by Muadzam Shah MLA Razali Kassim. [4]

He served as a Member of the Pahang State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Menteris Besar Adnan Yaakob and Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail from April 2004 to November 2022 and Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lanchang from November 1999 to November 2022. He is also a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. He is also a member of the Supreme Council of UMNO.
Thomas Su Keong Siong is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Ketari since November 2022. He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kampar from May 2018 to November 2022, for Ipoh Timor from May 2013 to May 2018, Member of the Perak State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state administration under former Menteri Besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin from March 2008 to the collapse of the PR state administration in February 2009 and Perak MLA for Pasir Pinji from March 2004 to May 2013. He is a member of Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly PR and Barisan Alternatif (BA) coalitions. He is also a member of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the DAP.
The Pahang State Executive Council is the executive authority of the Government of Pahang, Malaysia. The Council is composed of the Menteri Besar, appointed by the Sultan on the basis that he is able to command a majority in the Pahang State Legislative Assembly, a number of members made up of members of the Assembly, the State Secretary, the State Legal Adviser and the State Financial Officer.
The 14th Pahang State election was held on 9 May 2018, concurrently with the 2018 Malaysian general election. The previous state election was held on 5 May 2013. The state assemblymen is elected to 5 years term each.
Dato' Sri Haji Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail is a Malaysian politician who has served as the 14th Menteri Besar of Pahang since May 2018 and Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Jelai since March 2004. He served as Member of the Pahang State Executive Council (EXCO) from March 2008 to May 2018. He is a member and State Chairman of Pahang of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He has also served as the Vice President of UMNO since March 2023.
A by-election was held on 4 July 2020 for the seat of Chini in the Pahang State Legislative Assembly. The seat became vacant following the death of the incumbent Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, Abu Bakar Harun on 7 May 2020 who had held the seat since 2004. Mohd Sharim Md Zain from BN won the by-election with a 12,650 majority to retain the seat again.
Asmaiza binti Ahmad is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Perlis State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Menteri Besar Azlan Man from May 2017 to May 2018 for the first term and from June 2018 to the collapse of the BN state administration in November 2022 for the second term as well as Member of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Chuping from May 2013 to November 2022. She is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition.

Johari bin Harun was a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Pahang State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail from December 2022 and Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pelangai from November 2022 to his death in August 2023 respectively. He was a member and Division Chief of Bentong of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. He was also the group CEO of Gading Group.

Green Wave, also known as Green Tsunami, better known as Malay Wave, also known as Malay Tsunami, otherwise known as The People's Wave, alternatively known as Perikatan Nasional Wave / National Pact Wave, shortened as PN Wave, is a political phenomenon that has taken place in Malaysia since the 2022 Malaysian general election. This political phenomenon involves Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and its ultraconservative voters, who mainly originate from the northeastern and northwestern parts of Peninsular Malaysia. Ideologically, the phenomenon mostly concerns a far-right, authoritarian and ultranationalist movement that espouses increased Malay–Muslim hegemony in Malaysian politics as well as further intimidation and marginalisation of Malaysia's minority groups and religions.
A by-election was held on 7 October 2023 in the Pelangai state constituency due to the death of incumbent Johari Harun on 17 August 2023 as a result of the Elmina plane crash.
Leong Yu Man is a Malaysian politician and former nutritionist who has served as Member of the Pahang State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail since December 2022 and Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Triang since May 2013. She is a member and State Organising Secretary of Pahang of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions. She is the youngest, the only female and the only Pahang EXCO Member of DAP as well as one of the only two Pahang EXCO Members of PH and Chinese ethnicity alongside Teruntum MLA Sim Chon Siang. She is also the daughter of State Chairman of DAP of Pahang and former Triang MLA Leong Ngah Ngah. She created history as the first ever female Chinese Pahang EXCO Member.
