Ancharius, the Vaonas, is a small genus of catfishes (order Siluriformes) of the family Anchariidae.

Ancharius has been variably placed in Mochokidae, Ariidae, and Anchariidae. [1] They are endemic to Madagascar.

Gogo ornatus is a species of catfish of the family Anchariidae endemic to Madagascar where it is found in the Mangoro River basin. It reaches a length of 21.2 cm.
