Andrew Stephen Burrows,Lord Burrows,is a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. His academic work centres on private law. He is the main editor of the compendium English Private Law and the convenor of the advisory group that produced A Restatement of the English Law of Unjust Enrichment as well as textbooks on English contract law. He was appointed to the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom on 2 June 2020. As Professor of the Law of England,University of Oxford and senior research fellow at All Souls College,Oxford at the time of his appointment,he was the first Supreme Court judge to be appointed directly from academia.

Sir Percy Henry Winfield was Rouse Ball Professor of English Law between 1928 and 1943. He was born at Stoke Ferry in Norfolk. He died at his home at 13 Cranmer Road in Cambridge. He was married to Lady Helena Winfield,née Scruby. He was a fellow of St John's College,Cambridge.
A Restatement of the English Law of Unjust Enrichment is a legal treatise by Andrew Burrows,written in collaboration with an advisory group of academics,judges and practitioners. The treatise takes the form of a restatement that is akin to the American Law Institute's highly influential Restatements of the Law. Restatements are very rare in common law jurisdictions other than the United States.

Aiden Daniel John Mark Aslin is a British citizen who was captured by Russian forces in April 2022 while fighting as a Ukrainian Marine in Mariupol. He was sentenced to death on 9 June by authorities of the Russian-backed breakaway unrecognised puppet state,the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR),for "mercenary activities and committing actions aimed at seizing power and overthrowing the constitutional order of the DPR." He was released in a prisoner exchange in September 2022.
Tim Hayward is Professor of Environmental Political Theory at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and director of the university's Just World Institute,a body set up to "foster interdisciplinary research into the global challenges facing the international order,with particular attention to issues of ethics and justice". Between 1995 and 2017,Hayward published four books on ecological values,human rights and political theory. Hayward has allegedly spread propaganda to his students,supporting Putin's Russia and Bashar Assad's Syrian regime.

R v Hallam was a 2024 British court case involving five activists from the climate protest group Just Stop Oil. The activists were convicted of conspiracy to cause public nuisance after they organised protests to block the M25 motorway in November 2022. Roger Hallam,co-founder of Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion,was sentenced to five years' imprisonment,while his fellow activists Daniel Shaw,Louise Lancaster,Lucia Whittaker De Abreu and Cressida Gethin were sentenced to four years each. The activists have been collectively referred to as the "Whole Truth Five" in Just Stop Oil's social media posts.
