Antim Panghal (born 2004) is an Indian wrestler from Haryana. [1] She won a silver medal at Asian wrestling championship 2023. [2] She was India's first-ever U-20 world wrestling champion. [3] [4] She retained the championship the following year. [5]

Early life

Antim Panghal was born in Bhagana village of Hisar district in Haryana. [6] Her father's name is Ramniwas Panghal and mother's name is Krishna Kumari. [7]

Controversies

Panghal used her Olympics accreditation card to bring her sister inside the Olympic village. This occurred after a fight with a French taxi driver over the issue of an unpaid fare. [8]

In July 2009, he received the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna – India's highest honour for sportspersons. On 3 October 2010, Kumar handed the Queen's Baton to Prince Charles in the Queen's Baton Relay for the 2010 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
