Arbor Place is a shopping mall in Douglasville, Georgia, United States. Opened in 1999, the malls anchors feature the traditional retailers JCPenney, Belk Outlet, Regal Cinemas, Old Navy, Planet Fitness, Macy's, and Dillard's.
Arbor Place was developed in 1999 by CBL & Associates Properties (now CBL Properties). Upon opening, the mall featured over 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) of retail space. The original anchor stores were Bed Bath & Beyond, Old Navy, Parisian, Sears, and Borders Books & Music. An additional space was built for Uptons, but the chain went out of business before the mall opened. Arbor Place was the first retail development in Douglas County, Georgia. [2] The unopened Uptons became a home furnishings store called Dekor in 2001, but this store liquidated after only a few months in operation. A year later, Rich's was added as well. [3] JCPenney joined the mall in 2003, taking the place of Dekor. [4]
On November 7, 2019, it was announced that Sears would shutter as part if an ongoing plan to eliminate its brick-and-mortar format. [5] Conn's HomePlus later opened on the first floor of the former Sears in 2023.
In December 2020, Bed Bath Beyond closed at Arbor Place Mall. Planet Fitness is opening in its spot in December 2024.
In February 2023, Belk closed its Arbor Place Mall location to undergo conversion into a 1-floor Belk Outlet store. The grand opening of the outlet took place on April 8.
In April 2024, Conn's Home Plus filled for bankruptcy and is closing all its locations, including its Arbor Place location, leaving two vacant anchor stores (along with the former Sears).
Mall of Georgia is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall located in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Georgia, near the city of Buford, 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Atlanta. Opened in 1999, it is currently the largest shopping mall in the state of Georgia, consisting of 188 stores on three levels. Featured in the mall is a large village section, comprising lifestyle tenants and restaurants in an outdoor setting, as well as a 500-seat amphitheater. In 2017 the Mall of Georgia renovated the indoor food court area by updating the seating arrangements, furniture styles, and color schemes. Mall of Georgia was built by and is still owned by Simon Property Group. A portion of the Ivy Creek Greenway runs along the shopping mall area. The mall features the traditional retailers JCPenney, Belk, Dick's Sporting Goods, Macy's, Dillard's, and Von Maur, in addition to a 20-screen Regal Cinemas which also features IMAX. The anchor stores are Von Maur, Macy's, Dillard's, Belk, JCPenney, Havertys Furniture, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Regal Cinemas.
Asheville Mall is a regional mall in Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville Mall is located off Interstate 240 in eastern Asheville. It is predominantly a one-story mall. Its anchors are Belk, JCPenney, and two Dillard's locations. A former anchor store, Sears, closed in July 2018. The space still sits vacant as of 2024. It has 132 stores and is the largest mall in Western North Carolina. It also dominates the area's retail.

It will not be reopening. However, a possible redevelopment of the site was proposed in July 2020 for a potential redevelopment for an open-air retail center with a hotel, residential apartments, and office space, much like Pier Park to the west in Panama City Beach
River Ridge Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Lynchburg, Virginia. Opened in 1980, the mall features JCPenney, Belk, Dick's Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, and Regal Cinemas as its primary anchors, with Jo-Ann Fabrics, HomeGoods, and Planet Fitness serving as secondary anchors. Three restaurant outparcels include Red Lobster, Taco Bell, and a local restaurant named Shakers, with a fourth outparcel being Salem, Virginia-based Kemba Roanoke Federal Credit Union.
