The wingspan is 16–18 mm (0.63–0.71 in). The forewings are fuscous irrorated (speckled) with white and veins two to twelve marked with more or less indistinct blackish streaks. A stronger black streak is found along the fold from the base to two-thirds and the discal stigmata are moderate, blackish, with a black white-edged longitudinal dash lying between them. The hindwings are grey, paler towards base. [2]
