Artemis is the fifth studio album by American violinist, singer, and songwriter Lindsey Stirling, released on September 6, 2019. [1]

Singles

The first single, "Underground", was released on June 21, 2019. [1] Its music video debuted the same day, [2] and features cameo appearances by Sofie Dossi, BDASH, and Miranda Wilking. [3]

On July 5, 2019, the second single, "The Upside" was released. The music video was premiered and posted to YouTube on September 11th, 2019. The music video was produced by Julian Conner, Tom Teller, and Seth Jsephon, with Nico Aguiler as the director of photography, production designed by Christine Cangelosi, edited by Lindsey Sterling, colored by Bryan Smaller, and sound design was done by Gerry Vasquez. On August 3, 2019, a version of "The Upside" featuring Elle King was released as the third single. [5] The second version of the song not only adds King's vocals, but also makes changes in the rest of the song. [6]

On August 26, 2019, the third single and title track, "Artemis", was premiered during a live virtual reality concert in the PC VR application Wave, which was also livestreamed and made viewable afterward on Lindsey Stirling's Facebook page and YouTube channel. [7] [8]

Critical reception

When Artemis was reviewed the results were mostly positive, whether the individuals were just listeners, or more respected critics, receiving an average listener score of 70/100 on the Album of the year website.

The song appeared on three Billboard charts and, according to Nielsen SoundScan, by April 2013 it had reached 234,000 digital sales. On February 4, 2014, almost two years after the release of the video, "Crystallize" earned Stirling's first RIAA certified gold record by selling 500,000 copies in the United States. Shatter Me is the second studio album by American violinist and solo artist Lindsey Stirling. It is Stirling's first album to include collaborations with other vocalists, featuring Lzzy Hale and Dia Frampton, and Stirling has said its musical style is more progressive than her first album. The album was released on iTunes on April 25, 2014, in most of the world, on April 29, 2014, in the United States, and on May 2 in Germany. The first single, "Beyond the Veil", was released on March 24, peaking at number 22 on Billboard Dance and Electronic Digital Songs. The video was posted the following day. The second single, "Shatter Me", was released on April 23, accumulating 1.3 million views after one day on YouTube.
