Arxan National Forest Park is a national park in Arxan, Inner Mongolia, China. The park was established in 2000 and rated in 2017 as a AAAAA tourist destination. The park lies in the southwest foothill of the volcanic mountain range of the Greater Khingan. The park is known for landscape of solidified lava formations, crater lakes and dense forests. [1]

During a 2014 tour, Chinese president Xi Jinping remarked that Arxan is "beautiful in all four seasons" and "will rise to fame by developing tourism". [2]

A Rhododendron Festival is staged in May during the flower season to celebrate the blossom of the Rhododendron. [2]

Chifeng, also known as Ulanhad, is a prefecture-level city in Southeastern Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China. It borders Xilin Gol League to the north and west, Tongliao to the northeast, Chaoyang (Liaoning) to the southeast and Chengde (Hebei) to the south. The city has a total administrative area of 90,275 square kilometres (34,855 sq mi) and as of the 2020 census, had a population of 4,035,967 inhabitants. However, 1,175,391 of those residents lived in the built-up area made of the 2 urban districts of Hongshan and Songshan, as Yuanbaoshan is not conurbated yet. However, a large part of Songshan is still rural and Yuanbaoshan is a de facto separate town 27 kilometers away from the core district of Chifeng. The city was the administrative center of the defunct Ju Ud League.

Ewenki Autonomous Banner or Evenk Autonomous Banner is an autonomous banner that lies on the border between northwestern Greater Khingan and Hulun Buir grasslands and directly south of the urban district of Hailar in the prefecture-level city of Hulunbuir, China. The autonomous banner has an area of 19,111 km2 (7,379 sq mi), and a population of 136,832 as of 2019. The banner's seat of government is the town of Bayan Tohoi. Arxan Yi'ershi Airport is an airport serving the city of Arxan (A'ershan) in the Hinggan League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. It is located near the town of Yi'ershi, 16.5 kilometers north of the city center. Construction started in September 2008 with a total investment of 303 million yuan, and the airport was opened on 28 August 2011.

Zeya Nature Reserve is a Russian 'zapovednik' located over the mountainous headwaters of the Zeya River, on the eastern end of the Tukuringra Range, where it joins the Dzhagdy, in the Amur Region of the Russian Far East.
