Aryan Lakra (born 13 December 2001) is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. [1] He was named as the captain of the United Arab Emirates squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [2] He took twelve wickets in the six matches he played in the tournament. [3]
In December 2020, Lakra was one of ten cricketers to be awarded a year-long part-time contract by the Emirates Cricket Board. [4] In January 2021, he was named in the UAE's One Day International (ODI) squad to play against Ireland. [5] [6] In March 2022, Lakra was named in the UAE's ODI squad for the 2022 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series. [7] In August 2022, he was named in UAE's One Day International (ODI) squad for round 15 of the 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 in Scotland. [8] Lakra made his ODI debut on 11 August 2022, against the United States. [9] Later the same month, he was named in the UAE T20I squad for the 2022 Asia Cup qualifier. Mohammad Naveed is a cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Afghanistan on 2 May 2014 and his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Scotland in the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament on 9 July 2015. In January 2019, he captained the UAE for the first time in an ODI, in their home series against Nepal. In March 2021, Naveed was found guilty of corruption and banned from all cricket for eight years.
Ghulam Shabber is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut in the UAE's three-match series against Oman in October 2016. He retired from cricket in October 2019, mid-way through the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament, and in September 2021, he was handed a four-year ban from the sport in relation to corruption.

The 2022 Scotland Tri-Nation Series was the 15th round of the 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament that took place in Scotland in August 2022. It was a tri-nation series between Scotland, the United Arab Emirates and the United States cricket teams, with the matches played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 forms part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. In June 2022, Cricket Scotland confirmed the fixtures for the series.
