Emirates Cricket Board is the governing body of certain cricket activities in United Arab Emirates. It is United Arab Emirates's representative at the International Cricket Council and is an Associate Member and has been a Member of that body since 1990. It is also a Member of the Asian Cricket Council.
On 21 July 2016, UAE cricket took a step towards "full professionalism", with the Emirates Cricket Board granting two-year central contracts to eight of its players. [1]
In June 2018, ECB announced the first ever T20 franchise league in UAE, scheduled to start later that year after the T10 tournament. [2]
In August 2022, a new T20 tournament was made by the board, known as the International League T20 or ILT20.
The United Arab Emirates men's national cricket team is the team that represents the United Arab Emirates in international cricket. They are governed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) which became an Affiliate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1989 and an Associate Member the following year. Since 2005, the ICC's headquarters have been located in Dubai.

Shaiman Anwar Butt is a former cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. A powerful right-handed top-order batsman, he made his debut for the United Arab Emirates national side in December 2010, having previously represented Sialkot and Servis Industries in Pakistani domestic tournaments. In March 2021, Shaiman was found guilty of corruption and banned from all cricket for eight years.
Rohan Mustafa is a Pakistani-born cricketer who has played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team since 2007. He is a former national captain, and plays as a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler.
Mohammad Naveed is a cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Afghanistan on 2 May 2014 and his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Scotland in the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament on 9 July 2015. In January 2019, he captained the UAE for the first time in an ODI, in their home series against Nepal. In March 2021, Naveed was found guilty of corruption and banned from all cricket for eight years.
Chirag Suri is an Indian-born cricketer who represented the United Arab Emirates national cricket team between 2017 and 2023. In January 2021, Suri was named the vice-captain of the UAE team.
Qadeer Ahmed Khan is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his One Day International debut for the UAE against Hong Kong in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 18 November 2015. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Oman on 22 November 2015.
Muhammad Usman is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his first-class debut against the Netherlands in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 21 January 2016. Usman's List A debut was also against the Netherlands, in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship, on 27 January 2016. His Twenty20 International debut too was against the Netherlands on 3 February 2016. Usman made his One Day International debut against Scotland on 14 August 2016 in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship.
Ghulam Shabber is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut in the UAE's three-match series against Oman in October 2016. He retired from cricket in October 2019, mid-way through the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament, and in September 2021, he was handed a four-year ban from the sport in relation to corruption.

Mohammad Ashfaq Ahmed, commonly shortened as Ashfaq Ahmed or Mohammad Ashfaq, is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team.
The 2019 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier was a cricket tournament held during October and November 2019 in the United Arab Emirates to determine the teams that would qualify for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. The six teams finishing highest in the qualifier tournament joined Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the first group stage of the 2020 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The tournament formed part of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier series, with the Netherlands winning the final.
The Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy was a 20-over cricket franchise tournament held in the United Arab Emirates. It took place between 4 and 6 October 2018 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. Six franchise teams took part in the first edition. The International Cricket Council (ICC) sanctioned the competition in June 2018.
Waheed Ahmed is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his Twenty20 debut for the United Arab Emirates against the England Lions on 4 December 2015.
Karthik Palaniapan Meiyappan is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team as a right-arm leg spin bowler. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the UAE in 2019 and also represented the UAE at the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Meiyappan made history being the first ever UAE player to take a hat-trick, the first UAE player to take a hat-trick in a T20 World Cup, and the first player from an ICC associate member to take a hat-trick against an ICC full member.
The International League T20 (ILT20), also endorsed as the DP World ILT20 for sponsorship reasons, is a T20 cricket tournament being played in the United Arab Emirates. It is sanctioned by Emirates Cricket Board.
