The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England and South Africa. It was renamed as the International Cricket Conference in 1965, and took up its current name in 1987. The ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, UAE.

The 2022 ACA Africa T20 Cup is a cricket tournament scheduled to be played in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in September 2019, but was moved to March 2020, with the original host city being Nairobi, Kenya. On 9 March 2020, the tournament was postponed again due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in line with the Kenyan government's 30-day ban on international gatherings.
