The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) is the governing body for rugby union in Nigeria. It is affiliated to the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Rugby Africa and World Rugby.

The NRFF is constituted with a democratic board headed by President; Ademola Are and Vice President; AIG Aliyu Abubakar (Rtd) who have been elected to run the affairs of rugby in Nigeria.

The Cameroon national rugby union team, also known as the Indomitable Lions, represents Cameroon in the sport of rugby union. They are ranked as a tier-three nation by the International Rugby Board (IRB). Cameroon have thus far not qualified for a Rugby World Cup, but have competed in qualifying tournaments. Cameroon also compete annually in the Africa Cup.

Nigeria played their first international against Zimbabwe on 1 August 1987, losing by 111-12 in Nairobi. Their greatest success has been in the 2013 Africa Cup, where they beat Mauritius 63-3 in group 1C.

The Togo national rugby union team represents Togo in international rugby union. Togo are a member of the International Rugby Board (IRB), and have yet to play in a Rugby World Cup tournament. Togo played their first international in 2001, losing to Nigeria. They won their first match in 2003, defeating Mauritania.
