The Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria is the overall governing body of the sports of gymnastics in Nigeria. [1] Established in 1975, the body is affiliated to the International Federation of Gymnastics with the mission of “an all round development of gymnastics in Nigeria and beyond”. [2]
The pommel horse is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. Traditionally, it is used by only male gymnasts. Originally made of a metal frame with a wooden body and a leather cover, the modern pommel horse has a metal body covered with foam rubber and leather, with plastic handles.
United States of America Gymnastics is the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States. Established in 1963 as the U.S. Gymnastics Federation (USGF), USA Gymnastics selects and trains the men's and women's national teams for the Olympic Games and World Championships. USAG sets the rules and policies that govern the sport of gymnastics, promotes the sport at all levels, and serves as a resource center for members, clubs, fans and gymnasts.
These are the results of the men's artistic team all-around competition, one of eight events for male competitors of the artistic gymnastics discipline contested in the gymnastics at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. The qualification and final rounds took place on August 14 and August 16 at the Olympic Indoor Hall.
Hannah Kate Whelan is a retired British artistic gymnast who competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics. Whelan won three European Championships medals and four British senior national titles, and was the bronze medallist in the all-around at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Thomas Bouhail is a French gymnast of Algerian descent. He won a silver medal in vault at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Andrey Krylov is a Russian trampoline gymnast and was the gold medallist in men's tumbling at the 2007 Trampoline World Championships. Andrey Krylov tested positive for stimulants at the Trampoline World Cup stage in Loulé (POR), September 2012. Krylov received a twelve-month suspension, effective from October 1, 2012 through and including September 30, 2013.
Ksenia Dmitrievna Afanasyeva is a retired Russian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She is the 2011 world champion on floor exercise, the 2013 and 2015 European floor champion, and the 2013 Universiade vault and floor champion. Widely regarded as one of the most original and artistic gymnasts of all time, she retired from elite gymnastics in July 2016 due to kidney disease, a month away from the 2016 Summer Olympics, for which she was the Russian team's first alternate.
Claudiu Cristian Moldovan is a retired Romanian aerobic gymnast. He had a successful career winning seven world championships medals and two European championships medals. After retiring from aerobic gymnastics, he has been a coach for the junior national women's artistic gymnastics team. Among many gymnasts, he coached young Diana Chelaru, Larisa Iordache and Diana Bulimar.
Remus Nicolai is a retired Romanian aerobic gymnast. He had a successful career winning six world championships medals and five European championships medals. After retiring from aerobic gymnastics he opened together with his wife a private gymnastics club in Constanţa. As of 2013 he trains, together with his wife, the junior artistic women's National Team of Romania at the National Olympic Center in Onesti.
Cristina Antonescu is a Romanian aerobic gymnast. She won two gold medals world championship with the team, one silver world championships medals and five European championships medals.
Cristina Marin is a Romanian aerobic gymnast. She won three world championship medals and seven European championships medals.
The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) is the National Olympic Committee for Nigeria, responsible for co-ordinating and supporting Nigerian competitors in the Olympic Games. It is also the body responsible for Nigeria's representation at the Commonwealth Games.
The Asian Gymnastic Union (AGU) organizes Asian Gymnastics Championships for each of the FIG gymnastic disciplines: men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics and trampoline gymnastics. This article lists only the senior editions of the Asian Gymnastics Championships, in which competitors must be over 16 years of age. Specific editions of the Asian Championships also exist for junior athletes; for example, the first edition of the Junior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in 1971, but the first senior edition of the tournament was only held in 1996. Similarly, Junior Asian Trampoline Championships were held in 2010 and 2012, but only in 2014 the Asian Gymnastics Union held a senior tournament in conjunction with the junior championships for the first time.
Romania competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, in Nanjing, China from 16 August to 28 August 2014.
The European Championships is a multi-sport tournament which brings together the existing European Championships of some of the continent's leading sports every four years. The inaugural edition in 2018 was staged by the host cities of Berlin, Germany and Glasgow, United Kingdom between 2 and 12 August. The second edition in 2022 took place in Munich, Germany. A host for the third edition has not been confirmed.
The Nigerian Fencing Federation is the governing body that regulates and oversee the Olympic sport of fencing in Nigeria. Affiliated to the Nigeria Olympic Committee, the body is responsible for organizing fencing competitions locally and selecting fencers for international competitions.
Katarzyna Iwona Jurkowska-Kowalska is a Polish artistic gymnast and a two-time Polish all-around champion. She represented Poland at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The 2019 Lagos gubernatorial election was conducted on 9 March to choose the Governor of Lagos State. The election was held concurrently with various state level elections. Incumbent APC Governor Akinwunmi Ambode lost to the APC flag bearer Babajide Sanwo-Olu at a direct primary election in October 2018 and hence ineligible to run for second term under APC. Babajide Sanwo-Olu won in a landslide against Jimi Agbaje of the PDP who had previously run unsuccessfully for Lagos state governor twice. From 1999, Lagos state has been governed by AD, AC, then ACN, three parties which subsequently formed part of the coalition that birthed the APC in 2013.
The 2019 South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Santiago, Chile, from June 18 to 23, 2019. The competition was organized by the Chilean Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.
