The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) is the official ICC recognised organisation chosen to represent Bermuda in terms of cricket issues. The board was set up in 1938, and became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1966. [1] The Bermuda national cricket team qualified for the 2007 Cricket World Cup, the peak of Bermudian cricket. [2]

History

The first recorded cricket match played in Bermuda was on August 30, 1844. Later, in 1845, the Bermuda Cricket Club. In 1948 the Somers Isles Cricket League merged with Bermuda Cricket Club to form Bermuda Cricket Board, which became the current BCB in 2003.

Bermuda National Sports Centre is a multi-purpose sports complex in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda, just to the east of the capital, Hamilton. The stadium was built on what was once a field used as a parade and sporting ground within Prospect Camp. The track had experienced Usain Bolt's performance in the 2004 CARIFTA Games, where he broke the World Junior Record with a time of 19.93 seconds.

Janeiro J Tucker is a Bermudian cricketer, who captained the Bermudian cricket team in their first ever One Day International when they played Canada on 17 May 2006; Tucker took 2/29 off nine overs and scored 17 as Bermuda won the rain-affected game by three wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis method. He has since gone on to play in 26 ODIs for Bermuda.

The Bermuda women's national cricket team represents the British overseas territory of Bermuda in international women's cricket matches. The team made its international debut in 2006 and qualified for the 2008 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, but has played no international matches since 2012.

Malachi Olin Jones is a Bermudian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He has played twelve One Day Internationals to date for Bermuda. He also represented Bermuda in the 2006 ICC Americas Championship and at the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ প্রিমিয়ার লিগ; ISO: bānlādēś primiẏār lig) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league organised by the BPL Governing Council. The BPL is one of the three professional cricket leagues in Bangladesh. It is the 16th most attended premier league in the world. In winter, each team faces the other twice in the league stage. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the top four teams advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination game, and two qualifier games culminating in the Championship game, between the winner of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2.

Terryn Sunil Fray is a Bermudian cricketer who plays as a right-handed opening batsman. He represented Bermuda in the 2008 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and played one first-class match, three List A matches and eight Twenty20s for Bermuda from 2009 to 2013. Fray returned to Bermuda's national cricket team in 2018, first as their vice-captain then as captain.

Dion Curt Stovell is a Bermudian cricketer and football player. Stovell is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born in Bermuda. Stovell also played football as a striker for Somerset Trojans.

Kamau Sadiki Leverock is a Bermudian cricketer and the captain of the Bermuda cricket team. A nephew of two former ODI players, Dwayne Leverock (Bermuda) and Austin Codrington (Canada), Leverock is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast-medium. He was educated at the Bermuda Institute.

The Rangpur Riders, is a professional cricket team based in Rangpur City, Rangpur. The Riders compete in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the premier cricket league in Bangladesh.

The 2013–14 season in Bangladesh was the fourteenth in which first-class cricket was played at the domestic level. The main domestic competitions were the National Cricket League (NCL), the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) and the Dhaka Premier League. The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) was cancelled. Tre Manders is a Bermudian cricketer. He played in the 2014 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament. In April 2018, he was named in Bermuda's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Malaysia. In November 2019, Manders was named in Bermuda's squad for the Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament in Oman. He made his List A debut against Hong Kong, on 3 December 2019.

The 2021 Bangladeshi cricket season is taking place from 20 January to 31 December 2021. A total of 29 international matches, including 4 Test, 9 One Day International and 16 Twenty20 International matches are scheduled to take place in Bangladesh in 2021. 72 first-class, 5 List A and 54 Twenty20 matches are also being held in this season. All the international matches will form part of the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship, 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship and the preparation for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
