Brunei Darussalam National Cricket Association was the official governing body of the sport of cricket in Brunei. Until it had its membership revoked in 2015, the organisation was Brunei's representative at the International Cricket Council, having been granted affiliate membership in 1992. It organised the Brunei national cricket team, which mainly participated in the Asian Cricket Council tournaments.

Brunei, officially Brunei Darussalam, is a country in Southeast Asia, situated on the northern coast of the island of Borneo. Apart from its coastline on the South China Sea, it is completely surrounded by the Malaysian state of Sarawak, with its territory bifurcated by the Sarawak district of Limbang. Brunei is the only sovereign state entirely on Borneo; the remainder of the island is divided between its multi-landmass neighbours of Malaysia and Indonesia. As of 2023, the country had a population of 455,858, of whom approximately 180,000 resided in the capital and largest city of Bandar Seri Begawan. Its official language is Malay and Islam is the state religion of the country, although other religions are nominally tolerated. The government of Brunei is a constitutional absolute monarchy ruled by the Sultan, and it implements a fusion of English common law and jurisprudence inspired by Islam, including sharia.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England, and South Africa. It was renamed as the International Cricket Conference in 1965 and adopted its current name in 1987. The ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is a cricket organization which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of Cricket in Asia. The United Arab Emirates men's national cricket team is the team that represents the United Arab Emirates in international cricket. The Legislative Council of Brunei is a national unicameral legislature of Brunei. The council comprises 36 appointed members, that only has consultative tasks. Under Brunei's 1959 constitution, His Majesty Hassanal Bolkiah is the head of state with full executive authority, including emergency powers since 1962. The Brunei national cricket team was the team that represented the country of Brunei in international cricket. It was organised by the Brunei Darussalam National Cricket Association, which became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council in 1992. However, the association was expelled in 2015, meaning the team's current status is unclear. Brunei played its first recorded match in 1983, but did not appear in an international game until the 1996 ACC Trophy. The side did not appear in another Asian Cricket Council (ACC) tournament until 2004, but made regular appearances throughout the remainder of the decade. Brunei's last major tournament to date was the 2010 ACC Trophy Challenge in Thailand.

Cricket Indonesia became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and an associate member in 2017.

The Russia national cricket team is the team that represents the Russian Federation in international cricket. In 2012, they were officially endorsed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as an Affiliate member and were therefore entitled to participate in ICC Official events. Since 2017, they became an Associate Member In April 2018, the ICC decided to grant full Twenty20 International (T20I) status to all its members. Therefore, all Twenty20 matches played between Russia and other ICC Members after 1 January 2019 will be a full T20I.
The ACC Trophy was a limited-overs cricket tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Open only to associate and affiliate members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), it was contested biennially between 1996 and 2012, but was replaced by the three-division ACC Premier League in 2014 as the primary limited-overs competition for non-Test-playing ACC members. The tournament was discontinued for 9 years, and reinvented as ACC Premier Cup in 2023. The finalists of the 2000 and 2006 tournaments qualified for the Asia Cup, where matches had One Day International (ODI) status.
The Royal Moroccan Cricket Federation is the official governing body of the sport of cricket in Morocco. It responsible for the selection of the Moroccan national team and the operation of Moroccan leagues. Its current headquarters is in Rabat, Morocco. The federation is Morocco's representative at the International Cricket Council of which it has been an affiliate member since 1999. It is also a member of the African Cricket Association, and falls into the ICC Africa development region.

The Oman Cricket Board is Oman's representative at the International Cricket Council, having gained affiliate membership in 2000 and associate membership in 2014. It is also a member of the Asian Cricket Council.
Cricket is the most popular dry season sport in Bangladesh. It is played nationwide through the months of November to May. Governance of the sport is the responsibility of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), which was established in 1972.

The ACC Under-19 Asia Cup is a cricket tournament organised by the ACC for Under-19 teams from its member nations. It was first held in 1989 in Bangladesh where India won the tournament. The second edition was played after 14 years in 2003 in Pakistan where India retained their title. In the group stages of 2003 edition, Irfan Pathan claimed 9/16 against Bangladesh. The third edition was played in Malaysia in 2012 where the trophy was shared by India and Pakistan after the final was tied. The fourth edition was held in 2013/14 in UAE which was won by India. The fifth edition was held in Sri Lanka in December 2016 and was won by India too. The sixth edition was held in November 2017 in Malaysia, which was won by Afghanistan by 185 run from Pakistan. The seventh edition was held in September & October 2018 in Bangladesh, which was won by India by 144 run from Sri Lanka. The eighth edition was held in September 2019 in Sri Lanka & India retained their title. The ninth edition had taken place in December 2021 in United Arab Emirates.

The 2005 ACC Under-19 Cup was an international under-19 cricket tournament held in Nepal from 8 to 19 November 2005. The sixth ACC under-19 tournament to be held, matches were played in the capital Kathmandu and three other cities in the Kathmandu Valley, Bhaktapur, Kirtipur, and Lalitpur.
Hassanal Bolkiah is Sultan of Brunei since 1967, and prime minister of Brunei since independence from the United Kingdom in 1984. He is one of the few remaining absolute monarchs in the world.
The Uzbekistan national cricket team represents the nation of Uzbekistan in international cricket and administered by Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan. In July 2022, the International Cricket Council (ICC) inducted the team as an Associate Member, becoming the 25th member in the Asia region.
