Afghanistan Country in Central and South Asia

Afghanistan, officially the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is a landlocked country located at the crossroads of Central and South Asia. It is bordered by Pakistan to the east and south, Iran to the west, Turkmenistan to the northwest, Uzbekistan to the north, Tajikistan to the northeast, and China to the northeast and east. Occupying 652,864 square kilometers (252,072 sq mi) of land, the country is predominately mountainous with plains in the north and the southwest, which are separated by the Hindu Kush mountain range. As of 2021, its population is 40.2 million, composed mostly of ethnic Pashtuns, Tajiks, Hazaras, and Uzbeks. Kabul is the country's largest city and also serves as its capital.

Tajikistan, officially the Republic of Tajikistan, is a landlocked country in Central Asia. It has an area of 143,100 km2 (55,300 sq mi) and an estimated population of 9,537,645 people. Its capital and largest city is Dushanbe. It is bordered by Afghanistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the west, Kyrgyzstan to the north and China to the east. The traditional homelands of the Tajik people include present-day Tajikistan as well as parts of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

The Afghanistan national football team is the national football team of Afghanistan and is controlled by the Afghanistan Football Federation. Founded in 1922, they played their first international game against India in Kabul, 1941. Afghanistan then joined FIFA in 1948 and the AFC in 1954, as one of the founding members. They play their home games at the Ghazi National Olympic Stadium in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. In 2013, Afghanistan won the 2013 SAFF Championship and earned the "FIFA Fair Play Award".

The Afghanistan men's national team represents Afghanistan in international cricket.
Cricket has been played in Afghanistan since the mid-19th century, but it was only in the early 21st century that the national team began to enjoy success. The Afghanistan Cricket Board was formed in 1995 and became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and a member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003. After nearly a decade of playing international cricket, on 22 June 2017, at an ICC meeting in London, full ICC Membership was granted to Afghanistan. Alongside Ireland, this took the number of Test cricket playing nations to twelve. It is the first country to ever achieve Full Member status after holding Affiliate Membership of the ICC.

The Russia national cricket team is the team that represents the Russian Federation in international cricket. In 2012, they were officially endorsed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as an Affiliate member and were therefore entitled to participate in ICC Official events. Since 2017, they became an Associate Member

Asadullah Khan is an Afghan former cricketer. Khan is a right-handed batsman and right arm medium-pace bowler. He has previously represented the Afghanistan national cricket team.

Afghanistan has produced a few prominent cricketers over the years, who later went on to become widely popular in world cricket including Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

Najibullah Zadran is an Afghan cricketer and the vice captain of the Afghanistan Twenty20 International (T20I) side. Zadran is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He made his international debut for Afghanistan in July 2012.

Soumya Sarkar is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right arm medium-fast bowler who mainly plays as an opening batsman. Sarkar plays for the Cumilla Warriors in the Bangladesh Premier League, Khulna Division in the National Cricket League, and Prime Bank Cricket Club in the Dhaka Premier Division. >

Rahmat Shah Zurmatai is an Afghan cricketer who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman who is an occasional leg break bowler. He made his international debut for Afghanistan in March 2013. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first ever Test match, against India, in June 2018. In September 2019, in the one-off Test between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Rahmat became the first batsman for Afghanistan to score a century in Test cricket.

The Tajikistan national cricket team represents the nation of Tajikistan in International Cricket competitions and administered by Tajikistan Cricket Federation. Tajikistan has been a member of Asian Cricket Council since 2012. They were granted associate status by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in July 2021.

Tajikistan womens national cricket team

The Tajikistan women's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Tajikistan in international women's cricket matches. They made their international debut when they hosted Afghanistan in July 2012 in Shahrinaw District in a three match series which they won one and lost two.

Najmul Hossain Shanto is a Bangladeshi cricketer. In December 2015 he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Yasir Ali Chowdhury, also known as Yasir Ali Rabbi, is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his international debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in November 2021.

Rashid Khan Arman is an Afghan cricketer and a former captain of the national team. In franchise leagues, he plays for Ahmedabad franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Adelaide Strikers in Australia's Big Bash League (BBL), Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Band-e-Amir Dragons in Afghanistan. He bowls right-arm leg spin and bats right-handed.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is an Afghan cricketer. He made his international debut for Afghanistan in September 2019. In January 2021, he became the first batsman for Afghanistan to score a century on debut in a One Day International (ODI) match.

Qais Ahmad is an Afghan cricketer. He made his Test match debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in September 2019.

Shafiqul Islam is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Rajshahi Division in the 2018–19 National Cricket League on 8 October 2018. He made his List A debut for the Bangladesh A cricket team against Afghanistan A on 24 July 2019. In August 2019, he was one of 35 cricketers named in a training camp ahead of Bangladesh's 2019–20 season. He made his Twenty20 debut on 30 November 2020, for Beximco Dhaka in the 2020–21 Bangabandhu T20 Cup.
