Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. It is played indoors with 96–115.5 cm-long (37.8–45.5 in) sticks and a 70–72 mm-diameter (2.76–2.83 in) plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three twenty-minute periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development.

The 2008 Men's Asia Pacific Floorball Championships are the fifth such championships in men's floorball. It was held from August 25 to August 29, 2008, in the suburb of Leederville in Perth, Australia. All matches were held at the Loftus Recreation Centre. Singapore captured the 2008 Asia Pacific Floorball Championship by defeating Australia in the finals.
The 2010 Men's World Floorball Championships were the eighth men's Floorball World Championships. The tournament was held from 4 December to 11 December 2010 in the cities of Helsinki, and Vantaa, Finland.
The 2009 Men's Asia Pacific Floorball Championships were the sixth such championships in men's floorball. They were held from March 25 to March 29, 2009 in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. All matches were played at the Lee Chung Gymnasium. Singapore came into the tournament as defending champions.
The 2010 Men's World Floorball Championships Qualifying rounds were the first such qualifiers for world championships in men's floorball. Four separate qualifying tournaments were played, with European qualifications between February 3 and February 6, 2010, in the cities of Babimost and Zbąszyń in Poland, as well as in the city of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in Spain.

It serves as the home to Biñan Tatak Gel of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League and Pilipinas Super League, and has hosted games of the Philippine Basketball Association and the defunct Philippine Super Liga. It also serves as an evacuation center of the city. It is located adjacent to the Biñan Football Field and the Biñan City Hall.
The 2017 Men's Asia-Oceania Floorball Cup was a continental floorball tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand from 1–6 July 2017. It was held at the Chanatrayingyong Gymnasium of the Chulalongkorn University. Eight national floorball teams participated in the tournament.

The remaining 15 places will be determined by a qualification process, in which entrants from among the other teams from the five IFF confederations will compete.
