The annual Asian Academy Creative Awards are presented every December as part of the Singapore Media Festival. [1] They recognise excellence in the film and television industry across 16 nations in the Asia-Pacific region. [2]
The inaugural awards were held in December 2018, at the Capitol Theatre, Singapore. [3] The 2019 awards were held in the Victoria Theatre, Singapore. [4] Due to the global covid-19 outbreak, the 2020 awards were held over two nights in a 'virtual theatre,' where each nation represented held their own ceremony in conjunction with the main event in Singapore. 2021 awards were held in Singapore from December 2 and 3, for nominations announced on October 4, 2021. [7] 38 awards were given to winners of Asian-made TV and streaming content in various categories. [8]
The winner of each category receives the 'Golden Goddess' statue. The statue stands at 36cms (14 inches) and was designed by Society Awards, New York.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards celebrate works from Australia & New Zealand, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Michelle Yeoh Choo Kheng is a Malaysian actress. Credited as Michelle Khan in her early films in Hong Kong, she rose to fame in the 1990s after starring in Hong Kong action films where she performed her own stunts. These roles include Yes, Madam (1985); Magnificent Warriors (1987); Police Story 3: Supercop (1992); The Heroic Trio (1993); and Holy Weapon (1993).
The Asian Television Awards, is an appreciation to recognize and reward programming and production excellence in the Asian television industry. Held every December, the Awards comprises 56 categories across news, documentaries & current affairs, kids and animation, entertainment, drama, technical, digital as well as performances including acting and directing. The Awards draw about 1,400 entries each year from a wide range of broadcasters, including free-to-air TV stations, pay-TV platforms, OTT platforms as well as many independent production houses in Asia. Every year, a panel of more than 50 judges from more than 10 countries evaluate and select the entries. The winners are then awarded across 3 evenings: a Gala Dinner in Kuching for the technical and creative categories followed by a live telecast the next day for the entertainment and acting categories, also in Kuching. The digital awards are presented separately in another country.

Maja Ross Andres Salvador-Ortega is a Filipino actress and television personality. Known for portraying strong female leads and revenge dramas in film and television, she has been described as one of the best actresses of her generation. Her accolades include an Asia Contents Award, a FAMAS Award, a Gawad Urian Award, a Luna Award and a PMPC Star Awards for Movies, including nominations from Asian Television Awards and Asian Academy Creative Awards.
Rinko Kikuchi is a Japanese actress. She was the first Japanese actress to be nominated for an Academy Award in 50 years, for her work in Babel (2006). Kikuchi's other notable films include Norwegian Wood (2010), which screened in competition at the 67th Venice Film Festival and Guillermo del Toro's science fiction action film Pacific Rim (2013). For her role in the drama film Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter (2014), Kikuchi received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead. In 2022, she starred in the HBO Max crime drama series Tokyo Vice.
The TVB Anniversary Awards, officially known as the TVB Awards Presentation, is an annual awards ceremony honouring TVB's programming achievements in Hong Kong television; despite claims that it is the region's equivalent to the American Emmy and the Australian Logie, no other networks are allowed to enter their programmes into TVB competition, and it is awarded solely to TVB programming. Winners are awarded a copy of the golden TVB anniversary statuette, which depicts a man and a woman holding up TVB's square logo. The TVB Anniversary Awards are only one of three TVB awards given out. The other two types of TVB awards that are given out before the anniversary awards are: TVB Star Awards Malaysia and StarHub TVB Awards (Singapore).
