Aspergillus alliaceus is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus . It is from the Flavi section. [2] It was first described scientifically by Charles Thom and Margaret Church in 1926. [1] Its associated teleomorph is Petromyces alliaceus. It has yellow spores. [3]
A. alliaceus has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
