Atlanta Jewish Academy was created by the merger of Greenfield Hebrew Academy and Yeshiva Atlanta on July 1, 2014. [1]

The school is the first Infant through 12th grade Jewish day school in Greater Atlanta. It previously had two campuses, the lower school located in Sandy Springs and the upper school located in Doraville. [2] [3] However, in August 2017, the upper school moved into a new building added on to the Sandy Springs location.

Atlanta Jewish Academy is accredited by AdvancED (formerly SACS) [4] and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). [5]

The first head of school was Rabbi Pinchos Hecht. The second head of school is Rabbi Ari Leubitz, who began his term on August 1, 2016.

DCSD operates public schools in areas of DeKalb County that are not within the city limits of Atlanta and Decatur. It will serve a portion of Atlanta annexed by that city in 2018 until 2024, when that portion will be re-assigned to Atlanta Public Schools (APS).

Murphey Candler Park is a 135-acre multi-use park located in Brookhaven, Georgia, United States. The park is owned and operated by the City of Brookhaven. Park amenities include multi-use fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a playground, picnic areas, a lake, and trails. GHA is also was the first Jewish day school in the country to be accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and has been honored twice as a National School of Excellence by the Council for American Private Education.

Springmont Montessori school in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Georgia, United States

Sophia Academy was a private, Roman Catholic PreK3-12 school in the Atlanta metropolitan area in Georgia. It was located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta and was located in Sandy Springs and then DeKalb County.

Yeshiva Atlanta (YA) was the first Jewish secondary school in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. It was established on August 28, 1970, and it ran until July 1, 2014, when it was merged with Greenfield Hebrew Academy primary school to form the Atlanta Jewish Academy, a comprehensive Pre-K through 12th Grade School.
