History
The school opened in September 1985 in a schoolhouse rented from Sardis United Methodist Church in Buckhead with 51 students in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade. In July 1987, AIS moved into facilities located on Long Island Drive, acquired from the Fulton County Board of Education. By September of that year, the roll had grown to 193 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 were added later, with the first graduates receiving their diplomas in June 1992. The enrollment exceeded 900 students in 2008. [3]
Under a long-term agreement with the Atlanta Board of Education, valid through the year 2045, AIS moved its campus to its current location in 1995, the site of the former North Fulton High School. The building was designed by an Atlanta architect Philip Shutze, and renovations to the campus have sought to retain the historical and architectural integrity of the buildings. The campus includes science laboratories, a large library with computer facilities, an auditorium, the Lademacher Performing Arts Center, fine arts areas and an athletic complex including a gymnasium and a new soccer field and eight-lane track. In 2001, AIS secured a 50-year lease of the North Fulton Drive campus and purchased contiguous acreage. [3]
The Adair Art, Science and Design Center opened at the start of the 2009–10 school year. It was dedicated on October 14, 2010, by Anne Cox Chambers in honor of Vee and Dick Adair. [4] [5] In 2012, AIS opened an Early Learning Center for 3K and 4K students, who participate in a full-immersion preschool program in Chinese, French, German and Spanish. [6]
It was a filming location for The Blind Side, Love, Simon , [7] and Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life . [8]
Stevenson School is a coeducational, private school for boarding and day students in preschool through 12th grade. Its high school campus is in Pebble Beach, while its PK-8 campus is in an unincorporated area of neighboring Carmel.
North Atlanta High School is a comprehensive public high school of approximately 2300 students in the Paces neighborhood of the Buckhead community of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The school is a part of Atlanta Public Schools (APS).

Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School is a public secondary school located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Churchill Secondary is one of three International Baccalaureate schools and one of three French Immersion secondary schools in Vancouver. The American International School – Riyadh (AIS-R) (previously known as American Preparatory School of Riyadh, RICS and SAIS-R is an independent, non-profit, K-12, coeducational day school following an American-based curriculum with a focus on international perspectives. The IB Diploma Program is also offered in the high school. The school was established in 1963 and is located in the kingdom's capital, Riyadh.

Over 1,300 students from more than 50 countries are enrolled in the school. The school has two campuses: a Primary campus in Wädenswil for Early Childhood and Lower School students aged 3 to 11 and a Secondary Campus in Adliswil for Middle School students aged 11 to 14 and Upper School students aged 14 to 18.
Seigakuin Atlanta International School was an international, private, Christian elementary school located in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, United States, northeast of Atlanta, It is an affiliate to Seigakuin University, and therefore is a Shiritsu zaigai kyōiku shisetsu or an overseas branch of a Japanese private school. It was the only school in Greater Atlanta to have its curriculum accredited by the Japanese Ministry of Education. From its founding in 1990 until 2003, the school had been located on the property of Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, DeKalb County. In 2003, the school moved to its final location. From April 2008 until the school's 2018 closure, Minako Oki Ahearn served as the principal.

Arabic Immersion Magnet School (AIMS) is a magnet school in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas. A part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD), it currently covers elementary school grades. It uses a grant from the Qatar Foundation, and it is one of the first Arabic language immersion schools in the United States. It is a part of HISD's efforts to increase the number of bilingual students. Prior to 2019 the school was in the Houston Heights. Mahassen Ballouli became principal in Summer 2017 after the founding Principal, Kate Adams, left.
