Atopobacter is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped and facultatively anaerobic genus of bacteria from the family of Carnobacteriaceae with one known species ( A. phocae ). [1] [2] [3] [4] Atopobacter phocae has been isolated from common seals. [4]
