The Bahamian Parliament Building is the home of the Parliament of the Bahamas. The building was constructed in 1815 and is located in the capital of Nassau. [1]

Nassau is the capital and largest city of The Bahamas. With a population of 274,400 as of 2016, or just over 70% of the entire population of The Bahamas (≈391,000), Nassau is commonly defined as a primate city, dwarfing all other towns in the country. It is the centre of commerce, education, law, administration, and media of the country.

Parliament House in the Old Town in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a complex of several buildings housing the Supreme Courts of Scotland. The original building was home to the Parliament of Scotland from 1639 to 1707. It is located in the Old Town, just off the High Street section of the Royal Mile, beside St Giles' Cathedral. Buildings in the complex are Grade A listed buildings.
Thomas Robinson Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. It is currently used mostly for soccer matches. The stadium currently has a capacity of 15,000 people, but has the ability to be expanded to hold 23,000 people. The stadium is also the home of the NCAA Division I College Football bowl game the Bahamas Bowl.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nassau is an archdiocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in the Caribbean. The archdiocese encompasses the islands of the former British dependency of the Bahamas. The archbishop is the metropolitan responsible for the suffragan diocese of Diocese of Hamilton in Bermuda and the Mission sui iuris of Turks and Caicos, and is a member of the Antilles Episcopal Conference.
Nassau Street in New York City is in the Financial District, within the borough of Manhattan. Its southern end is at the intersection with Broad Street and Wall Street, and its northern end is at Spruce Street, at Pace University near the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. For its entire route, Nassau Street runs one block east of Broadway and Park Row.
The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas is an art gallery in Nassau, The Bahamas. In September 2011 the gallery announced Amanda Coulson, as the new Director and 4 new staff appointments. John Cox joined the gallery in January 2012 as Chief Curator.
Madison Place is a one-block street located in northwest Washington, D.C., across from the White House. It forms the eastern border of Lafayette Square between Pennsylvania Avenue and H Street NW. Buildings on Madison Place include the Howard T. Markey National Courts Building, the Benjamin Ogle Tayloe House, the Cutts-Madison House, and the Treasury Building Annex. The street is part of the Lafayette Square Historic District.

Fort Charlotte is a British-colonial era fort built on a hill over-looking the harbor of Nassau, The Bahamas. The fort sits a short walk west of downtown Nassau and the cruise ship terminal. The fort was constructed in the late 18th century by British colonial governor Lord Dunmore after the end of the American Revolutionary war. The fort has never been used in battle. It is one of several English forts that are still standing in Nassau. These forts were to be used as battle stations, to attack the invading Spaniards.
The Nassau Public Library and Museum, in Nassau, is the largest and oldest of five libraries in the Bahamas. The library was founded in 1837, when the Bahamas Society for the Diffusion of Knowledge was combined with a reading society. The Nassau Public Library was made official in 1847 with the passing of the Nassau Public Library Act. Making it among the oldest Public Libraries in the Commonwealth Caribbean.
The 1994 du Maurier Classic was contested from August 25–28 at Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. It was the 22nd edition of the du Maurier Classic, and the 16th edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour.
Wiesbaden City Palace is a neo-classical building in the center of Wiesbaden, Germany. It was completed in 1841 as the principal city residence of the Dukes of Nassau. The palace has several wings, 145 rooms, and is architecturally integrated with a group of ancillary buildings constructed both before and after it was built. With ornate towers, gables and a slate roof laid in herringbone patterns, the three-story complex lends charm and its name to the central square of Wiesbaden: Palace Square.
The Nassau County Aquatics Center is an aquatic facility located at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY. It is considered the largest Olympic-sized single-tank pool in North America. At least 16 world records in swimming have been set in the facility. It was built in 1998 for the Goodwill Games. Since the Goodwill Games in 1998, it has hosted numerous swimming championships and high level competitions including the USA Swimming National Championship, NCAA National Championship, Big East Conference Championship and FINA World Cup. The Center is 80,000 square feet with a 68m pool and three moveable bulkheads to accommodate SCM, SCY, and LCM competition. In 2002, Natalie Coughlin set multiple world records during the FINA World Cup at the center. In 2002 it was reported that the pool had lost millions of dollars. Dave Ferris was aquatics director in 2002, he reportedly questioned the reported losses, stating that "I don't believe expenses on the building are completely clear at this time". In 2011, the facility underwent a renovation after a 40lbs light fixture fell about 55 feet into the swimming pool. Since 2011 it had also been proposed to build an additional outdoor 50m pool adjacent to the existing facility.
The Theatre on Nassau Street, or The New Theatre, was probably the first purpose-built theatre in Manhattan.
The Lake Mendota Boathouse was a recreational building and storage facility owned by the University of Wisconsin located on Lake Mendota in Madison, Wisconsin. It was designed and built by architect Frank Lloyd Wright after he was awarded the commission of the building in 1893 based on drawings he submitted to a competition held by the Madison Park and Pleasure Drive Association. The primary functions of the building were to store recreational equipment and to serve as a viewing deck for "boating events and races that took place on the lake."
