Bantam is an unincorporated community in Clermont County, Ohio, United States. [1] It is the location of Bethel Methodist Church, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [2]
The community is located in northwest Tate Township along Old State Route 125 (Bantam Road) and South Bantam Road, 4.2 miles northwest of Bethel. Years ago, to protect the county seat at Batavia, land from northern Bantam and other local communities was purchased by eminent domain to form the East Fork State Park flood prevention reservoir and its surrounding recreation areas. Travel north onto Elklick Road to enter the state park. The first Bantam post office was established in 1837. [3] It eventually closed. Most of Bantam receives mail service from the Bethel post office.

Asbury United Methodist Church and Bethel Chapel and Cemetery is a national historic district containing a Methodist church, chapel, and cemetery at 19 Old Post Road in Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York. The church was built in 1883 and is a rectangular brick building with a multi-colored slate-covered gable roof in the Gothic Revival style. It features large Gothic-arched stained and leaded glass windows added in 1891 and a square, engaged, two stage tower. The chapel was built about 1790 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, two-by-two-bay, clapboard-sided building on a granite foundation. Francis Asbury (1745–1816) is known to have visited the chapel on September 20, 1795. The cemetery is in two sections and contains about 5,000 graves; the date of the earliest burial is 1801. It includes the grave of noted playwright and author Lorraine Hansberry (1930–1965).
Bethel Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church building in rural Clermont County, Ohio, United States. Built in the 1810s under the leadership of one of Ohio's earliest Methodist preachers, it has survived the death of its congregation, and it remains in use for community activities. Together with its cemetery, the building continues to be used occasionally, and it has been named a historic site.

Old Bridge, also known as the Historic Village of Old Bridge, is an unincorporated community located within East Brunswick in Middlesex County, New Jersey. It is on the South River, a tributary of the Raritan River. The community is named after the first bridge built here to cross the river, the South River Bridge. After other bridges were built crossing the river, it became known as the Old Bridge. The Old Bridge Historic District, encompassing much of the village, is listed on the state and national registers of historic places.
