Gijsbertus (Bart) van den Brink (born 23 October 1978 in Amersfoort) is a Dutch politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives for the CDA in 2023.
Van den Brink was number 22 on the CDA candidate list for the 2021 Dutch general election. He is trained as a public administrator and worked for the municipality of Roermond from 2003 to 2006. Since 2006 he has worked in The Hague, where he first worked as a personal assistant to CDA Member of Parliament Ger Koopmans, and then between 2008 and 2011 as a political advisor to State Secretary and later Minister Marja van Bijsterveldt. After this, he became head of public relations for the CDA House of Representatives faction, a position he remained until he became a political advisor to Minister Hugo de Jonge in 2017. From April 2022 he worked for the CDA in the House of Representatives again, where he was a Member of Parliament from 10 May 2023 , succeeding Agnes Mulder. Van den Brink was campaign leader for the 2023 Dutch general election and stood in seventh place. He retired from the House of Representatives on 5 December 2023. In the 2025 Dutch general election he will again be standing for election for the CDA, where he is in seventh place on the party list. [1]
Van den Brink lives with his wife and three children in Amersfoort. He attends the PKN church.
