Eva Maria van Esch (born 12 May 1986 in Rossum) is a Dutch politician, who served as a Member of Parliament for the Party for the Animals (Dutch : Partij voor de Dieren, PvdD) between 2019 and 2023. She previously served as the party's parliamentary leader in the Utrecht City Council. [1] [2]
Van Esch proposes that dogs should be allowed into hospitals to visit their owners’ deathbeds. They should also be permitted into funeral homes to say a last goodbye. [3] She favours tighter regulations for wood-burning. [4]

The Party for the Animals is a political party in the Netherlands. Among its main goals are animal rights and animal welfare. The PvdD was founded in 2002 as a single-issue party for animal rights, opposing animal cruelty and the treatment of animals in agriculture. The party then developed into a left-wing, ecological party.
Bernard Johannes "Joost" Eerdmans is a Dutch politician, broadcaster and former civil servant who has served as Leader of JA21 since 18 December 2020, a party he co-founded with Annabel Nanninga. Elected to the House of Representatives in the 2021 general election, he took office on 31 March 2021. Eerdmans had previously served as a member of the House of Representatives from 23 May 2002 until 30 November 2006 for the Pim Fortuyn List (LPF) and as an Independent.

Wybren Ridley van Haga is a Dutch politician and engineer who was a member of the House of Representatives between 2017 and 2023. He was initially elected as a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), but was expelled from the party in 2019, causing the third Rutte cabinet to lose its parliamentary majority. Van Haga subsequently sat as an independent MP before joining Thierry Baudet's Forum for Democracy party, where he was placed second on the party list in the 2021 election. He has since quit Forum for Democracy and created his own political party Belang van Nederland.
Annabel Nanninga is a Dutch politician and journalist who was the co-founder of the JA21 party. She currently leads the party in the Senate and is a representative of the Provincial Council of North Holland. She has been a member of Amsterdam city council since 2018.
Leonie Vestering is a Dutch politician of the Party for the Animals (PvdD). She campaigned against circus animals, and she was a member of the States of Flevoland and the Almere municipal council. Vestering was elected to the House of Representatives in 2021 and resigned in September 2023 in response to a conflict within her party.

She was elected to the House of Representatives in the 2021 general election owing to the number of preference votes she received. Daniël "Daan" de Neef is a Dutch speechwriter and former politician. A member of the conservative liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), De Neef was a political staffer of the VVD and owned a speech consultancy. He held a seat in the Breda municipal council starting in 2018 and was elected to the House of Representatives in the 2021 general election. De Neef stepped down the following year and switched to the Party for the Animals (PvdD) shortly after.

Hilde M. Palland, also known as Hilde Palland-Mulder, is a Dutch politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2019 until 2023. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), she was previously elected to the municipal council of Kampen from 2006 to 2018, where she chaired the party group from 2009 onwards. Palland became a parliamentarian upon the resignation of former party leader Sybrand van Haersma Buma. She studied law at the University of Groningen.

Roelof Jan "Ralf" Dekker is a Dutch banker and politician of the far-right party Forum for Democracy (FvD). Following his career at Rabobank, he has served on the Provincial Council of North Holland since March 2019 and in the House of Representatives since November 2024, having had a prior term from August 2022 to March 2023. He became chair of the Renaissance Institute, FvD's think tank, in 2022.
