Bedkot Municipality is in Kanchanpur District of Kanchanpur. Bedkot Municipality was formed on 18 September 2015 by merging Daiji and Suda VDCs. [1] Bedkot Municipality Office is in Sisaiya Bazar.

It Has 11 numbers of ward at the first time but later on ward no.11 is renamed as ward no.10.

Demographics

At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, Bedkot Municipality had a population of 49,490. Of these, 51.0% spoke Doteli, 18.7% Tharu, 7.7% Baitadeli, 7.2% Bajhangi, 4.5% Achhami, 4.2% Nepali, 4.1% Darchuleli, 1.3% Magar, 0.6% Bajureli, 0.1% Hindi, 0.1% Jumli, 0.1% Maithili, 0.1% Sign language, 0.1% Urdu and 0.1% other languages as their first language. In terms of ethnicity/caste, 33.0% were Chhetri, 22.0% Hill Brahmin, 19.0% Tharu, 6.1% Kami, 5.6% Thakuri, 3.2% Sarki, 2.9% Damai/Dholi, 2.6% other Dalit, 1.9% Sanyasi/Dasnami, 1.8% Magar, 0.6% Lohar, 0.4% Dhanuk, 0.2% Gurung, 0.2% Musalman, 0.1% Badi and 0.2% others. [3]

in terms of religion, 92.4% were Hindu, 4.9% Prakriti, 1.5% Buddhist, 0.9% Christian, 0.2% Muslim and 0.2% others. [4]

In terms of literacy, 69.9% could read and write, 2.5% could only read and 27.6% could neither read nor write. [5]

Mahendranagar officially known as Bhimdattanagar (Nepali:भिमदत्त), is a municipality in Kanchanpur District of Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. The city and the municipality were named Mahendranagar in the honour of late King Mahendra of Nepal. After becoming a republic in 2008, the Mahendranagar municipality name was changed to Bhimdatta municipality in honour of the revolutionary farmer leader Bhimdatta Panta. It is surrounded by Bedkot Municipality in the east, Dadeldhura District in the north, Shuklaphanta National Park in the south and Uttarakhand, India in the west.

According to the Nepal census 2011 the municipality had 3022 individual households and a population of 21,959. In the north and west, Beldandi is surrounded by Suklaphatha national park. To the east lies Belauri Municipality. On the south, it borders India.

Tarakeshwar " तारकेश्वर " is a municipality in Kathmandu District in Bagmati Province of Nepal that was established on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village development committees Dharmasthali, Futung, Goldhunga, Jitpurphedi, Kavresthali, Manmaiju and Sangla. The office of the municipality is that of the former Dharmasthali village development committee.

Madhuwan is a municipality located in Bardiya District of Lumbini Province of Nepal. It is one out of six municipality of Bardiya District. The municipality is surrounded by Gulariya and Barbardiya in the east, India borders from the west, Thakurbaba and Geruwa Rural Municipality in the north. Bardiya National Park touches the border of the municipality by north.

Sarumarani is a Rural municipality located within the Pyuthan District of the Lumbini Province of Nepal. The rural municipality spans 157.97 square kilometres (60.99 sq mi) of area, with a total population of 18,627 according to a 2011 Nepal census.
