The Beloved Fatherland Party (Spanish : Partido Patria Querida, PPQ) is a political party in Paraguay.
Established in 2001, the party first contested national elections in 2003, [1] when it won 10 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and seven in the Senate, becoming the joint third-largest party. Its presidential candidate Pedro Fadul received 21.9% of the popular vote.
In the 2008 elections it was reduced to three seats in the Chamber and four in the Senate, whilst Fadul won 2.5% of the vote in the presidential election. In the elections five years later, the party's seat share was reduced to one seat in the Chamber and none in the Senate, while the party's presidential candidate Miguel Carrizosa received 1.1% of the vote in the presidential election. [2] In the 2018 elections, the party secured three seats in both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. [3]
The politics of Mexico function within the framework of a federal presidential representative democratic republic whose government is based on a multi-party congressional system, where the President of Mexico is both head of state and head of government. The federal government represents the United Mexican States. It is divided into three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial, established by the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, published in 1917. The constituent states of the federation must also have a republican government based on a congressional system established by their respective constitutions.
The Natural Law Party (NLP) is a transnational party founded in 1992 on "the principles of Transcendental Meditation", the laws of nature, and their application to all levels of government. Parliamentary elections were held in Haiti on May 21 and July 9, 2000, electing all 82 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and nineteen seats in the Senate. A further eight seats in the Senate were elected on November 26, alongside the presidential elections. The first round of legislative elections generated so much conflict that the fall elections were boycotted by the opposition.
General elections were held in Paraguay on 20 April 2008. Elections were held for the presidency, 45 senators, 80 representatives, 17 governors and Paraguay's members in the Mercosur Parliament.
The Democrats was a centre-right political party in Brazil that merged with the Social Liberal Party to found the Brazil Union in 2021. It was founded in 1985 under the name of Liberal Front Party from a dissidence of the defunct Democratic Social Party (PDS), successor to the National Renewal Alliance (ARENA), the official party during the military dictatorship of 1964–1985. It changed to its current name in 2007. The original name reflected the party's support of free market policies, rather than the identification with international liberal parties. Instead, the party affiliated itself to the international federations of Christian-democratic (CDI) and conservative parties (IDU). The Democrats' identification number is 25 and its colors are green, blue, and white.
General elections were held in Paraguay on 27 April 2003. The presidential elections were won by Nicanor Duarte of the Colorado Party, who received 38.3% of the vote. In the Congressional elections, the Colorado Party won 37 of the 80 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 16 of the 45 seats in the Senate. Voter turnout was 64.3% in the presidential election, 64.2% in the Senate election and 64.1% in the Chamber of Deputies election.
General elections were held in Paraguay on 10 May 1998. Incumbent Juan Carlos Wasmosy could not run again, as the constitution limits the president to a single five-year term with no possibility of re-election.

Parliamentary elections were held in Romania on 9 December 2012. The Social Liberal Union (USL) co-led by former Prime Minister Victor Ponta won an absolute majority in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. At the time of the elections, despite the severe weather in several parts of the country, the turnout was approximately 42%, slightly higher than the last parliamentary elections held in 2008 which saw a turnout of 39%.
The Alliance for Romanian Unity was a political alliance in Romania. It had ties to the Romanian Hearth Union.
General elections were held in Paraguay on 22 April 2018. President Horacio Cartes and Vice-President Juan Afara of the Colorado Party were not eligible for re-election. The presidential elections were won by the Colorado Party's Mario Abdo Benítez, who defeated Efraín Alegre of the GANAR alliance. The Colorado Party also won the most seats in the Senate and Chamber of Deputies. The new President and Vice-President took office on 15 August 2018 and left office in August 2023.
General elections were held in Paraguay on 30 April 2023 to elect the president, vice president, National Congress, and departmental governors. The incumbent president Mario Abdo Benítez and vice president Hugo Velázquez Moreno, both of the Colorado Party, were ineligible for re-election.
