Bergljot Cecilie Webster (born 16 February 1966) is a Norwegian judge.

She was born in Oslo, and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1992. She worked in the Office of the Attorney General of Norway from 1993 to 2000, from 1999 with access to Supreme Court cases. She then worked as a lawyer in the Nordisk Defence Club from 2000 to 2004, and in the law firms Sørlie Wilhelmsen and Hjort between 2004 and 2009. She became a Supreme Court Justice in 2009. [1] In 2014 she will have a one-year absence of leave. [2]

She is married, has two daughters and resides at Billingstad. [3]

Karin Maria Bruzelius

Karin Maria Bruzelius is a Swedish-born Norwegian supreme court justice and former President of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights. In 1989, she became the first woman to be appointed Permanent Secretary of a government ministry, heading the Ministry of Transport and Communications until 1997. She was appointed supreme court justice on the Supreme Court of Norway in 1997, retiring in 2011. She has previously also been a Director-General in the Ministry of Justice and a corporate lawyer. She was a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague from 2004 to 2010 and chaired the Petroleum Price Board from 1987 to 2004. She served as President of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights from 1978 to 1984 and from 2018 to 2020. She has been affiliated with the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law at the University of Oslo Faculty of Law since 2011.

Gina Krog Norwegian politician and womens rights activist, editor (1847–1916)

Jørgine Anna Sverdrup"Gina" Krog was a Norwegian suffragist, teacher, liberal politician, writer and editor. She played a central role in the Norwegian women's movement from the 1880s until her death, notably as a leading campaigner for women's right to vote. In 1884, Krog co-founded the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights with liberal MP Hagbart Berner. Over the next two decades, Krog co-founded the Women's Voting Association, the National Association for Women's Suffrage, and the Norwegian National Women's Council, spearheading the presentation of women's suffrage proposals to the Storting. Krog wrote articles and gave speeches, travelling throughout Europe and North America to attend international women's rights conferences. She was editor of the Norwegian feminist periodical Nylænde from 1887 until her death in 1916. She was an early member of the Liberal Party and served as a deputy member of its national board. Krog was strongly inspired by the American liberal women's rights movement spearheaded by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
